One mission: Turn Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts & Maths into real solutions for Africa

From the keynote by the Irish Ambassador to the energy in the student breakout rooms every moment was a reminder: *Innovation meets creativity here.

We saw students code their first app.
We saw engineers, artists, and entrepreneurs collide.
We saw a generation say: “I belong in this space.”

This is what happens when partners, sponsors, and volunteers choose to believe in young people.

🌱✨ Empowering the Next Generation through Green Skills ✨🌱
We were proud to mark this year’s Zero Waste Celebration Day with an impactful Green Skills Training held in Makeni, bringing together passionate students from the Ernest Bai Koroma University of Science and Technology.
This initiative, by Freetown Innovation Lab in partnership with CCIS, focused on equipping young people with practical knowledge in sustainable practices, circular economy principles, and innovative waste management solutions.
From interactive sessions to hands-on learning, students explored how waste can be transformed into valuable resources, turning environmental challenges into opportunities for entrepreneurship and community impact.
💡 Our goal is simple: build a generation of solution driven leaders who will champion clean energy, sustainability, and a zero waste future in Sierra Leone and beyond.
A huge thank you to all the students, facilitators, and partners who made this event a success.
