SLRSA & SLPHA Unveil Tough New Safety Measures for Container Trucks at the Port

*🚨 BREAKING NEWS 🚨*

Due to the persistent rise in accidents involving trucks and heavy-duty vehicles operating from the Port Authority, the *Executive Director of the Sierra Leone Road Safety Authority, James Baggie Bio*, alongside *Deputy Executive Director Abraham Scott-Manga* and a high-powered enforcement team, today carried out an unannounced operational visit to the Port Authority.

Preliminary findings revealed that several trucks and commercial vehicles operating from the Port are not roadworthy, while some are reportedly operating without proper licensing and documentation.

The operation forms part of SLRSA’s intensified nationwide crackdown on unfit and non-compliant vehicles that continue to pose serious danger to lives and property on Sierra Leone’s roads.

The Authority has reaffirmed its commitment to strict enforcement, vehicle fitness compliance, and ensuring accountability within the transport sector.
