We were Bless with another exciting night at the club after our amazing attendance in last week's friendly Pair's Competition 21 July 26. Providing our activities transparently clearly show's by allowing all members within our community and visitors alike to St Helena gives us the encouragement to continue building our training platform and by delivering social activities we obtain respect and tremendous appreciation from everyone. Twelve people attended our practicing shooting including three new menbers, as usual, safety, control briefing were given with a little help on the firing platform settleing new-bee's in giving a bit of encouragement. However they all grasp the concept quickly. Isabelle shot 95.6, 91.1 & 89.2 Caroline shot 83.1, 88 & 95.2 good improvement on each target, and Hugh shot 86, 93.3 & 93.3 good performance from these guys. Greetings From Jamestown Rifle Club 21 July 2026.
Our Friendly Pair's Competition was well attended with 26 people recorded, an amazing turnout more than we had anticipated. It was difficult to mix-match groups to gain a balance for the lowest and highest shooters to form teams, they all shot extremely good scores on their targets therefore switching groups/names around to find that balance was shockingly worrying, but thankfully no one complained. After everyone had finished shooting team scores were calculated. The pair with the highest score shot 190.9 and two teams finished with 190.8 points each, therefore the two beginners from both teams Thami and Mahmood were given one shot each to shoot-off to see who was hungry for those highest points for 2nd position. they both settled in with their rifles aiming right-on-target, it was an exciting moment for members watching when both shots were fired, but nerve-racking for the shooters, their target showed Mahmood shot a (7) and Thami shot an 8 good competition from these two beginners. Bronze Medal Plaques 3rd place presented to Elizabeth & Mahmood, Silver Medal Plaques for 2nd place to Thami & Simon with 190.8 points, snatching Gold Medal Plaque for 1st place Jordana & Captain Bramwell with 190.9 with just one point diffidence from each teams showed how good these guys shoot. Medals was awarded to three beginners with with best scores in their teams, Vince shot 92.3, Cherilee 91.3 & Tav with 91.3. Thanks to everyone for supporting this event delivering an amazing performance, at the end of all our shooting events we are all WINNER'S. Thanks everyone with Greeting for the rest of the week. Have a enjoyable weekend.
