We would like to inform you that Cocktail 19.8.1 (Tahoe Edition) for users running macOS Tahoe has been released.

Here are the release notes for this version:

• Added ability to reset App Store and resolve various issues, including incorrect update notifications for apps that are already up to date or stuck updates (System > Updates)
• Reworked cache detection logic to improve accuracy and avoid unnecessary deletions
• Fixed an issue where cache cleaning could fail under specific permission states
• General performance improvements and stability enhancements

Sometimes, an external drive, disk image, or other mounted volume refuses to leave macOS of its own free will. When using macOS, you certainly know if you’ve opened a Pages file or are editing an email. But, below the surface are files that macOS uses that you don’t see all the activity required for background processes, Time Machine backups, Spotlight indexing, and other system needs. We would like to inform you that Cocktail 19.8 (Tahoe Edition) for users running macOS Tahoe has been released.

Here are the release notes for this version:

• Software update settings have been moved to the new Updates tab (System > Updates)
• Added ability to disable notifications for new system updates (System > Updates)
• Improved launch time
• Authentication is no longer required if the "Repair user permissions" procedure is run at startup (Settings > General)
• Fixed some issues affecting cleanup reliability in certain configurations
• Refined cleanup logic to avoid removing recently used files
• Checked for compatibility with macOS 26.5.1
• Resolves a number of issues discovered in the previous release

• Reworked cache detection logic to improve accuracy and avoid unnecessary deletions
• Improved handling of symbolic links and containerized app data (Files > Localizations)
• Improved consistency across repeated maintenance runs
• Resolves a number of customer reported issues
