Hello Swing Punks people 👋
This time we’ve taken Teenage Kicks by The Undertones and turned it into something sweet, jazzy and just a little bit emotionally confused.
Of course, this isn’t just any punk-pop classic. Legendary BBC Radio 1 DJ John Peel famously championed Teenage Kicks, playing The Undertones’ debut 1978 single twice in a row the first time he broadcast it. He later called it his favourite song of all time — and the opening line, “Teenage dreams, so hard to beat”, is engraved on his headstone.
So yes… no pressure then.
We absolutely love the original, so this is very much a tribute — but obviously, because it’s us, we’ve given it a swing rhythm, and turned it into a slightly awkward bus-stop romance.

Hello Swing Punks people 👋🎺⚡
Our brand new version of Stranglehold is out now — and yes, we know… The U.K. Subs original is an absolute classic.
We loved it, we still love it, and this is very much a tribute… just one that appears to have wandered into a big band rehearsal wearing pointy shoes and a questionable grin.
So expect brass, bounce, bad behaviour, and a lyric video that looks like a 1970s relationship advice column had a nervous breakdown.
A huge welcome to all the new followers joining the Swing Punks circus — lovely to have you here. Pull up a chair, polish your trombone.
Keep the comments flowing — tell us what you think, tell us what punk classic we should lovingly vandalise next, or just shout “OI!” in a musically supportive way.
Have a swinging weekend, you beautiful lot. 🎷🎺🧷
