SBSA CLAIMS 1ST PLACE! 🏆

On 19 September 2026, SBSA secured 1st place in the Professional Centre category at the 3rd Edition National Schools & Professional Beach Soccer Tournament 2026.

The tournament began with an exciting match against UniSey, where Laurent Vel scored for SBSA. ⚽

In the final against SMA, Gael Barbier and Lee-Yen Vital scored for SBSA, before Kyle Marie sealed the game with a goal just 2 minutes before the final whistle. 🔥

Congratulations to Noah De Charmoy Lablache, who took home the Most Valuable Player trophy, and to Rico Esparon, who was recognised as Best Goalkeeper. 👏🏼

A huge congratulations to the entire SBSA team for their determination, teamwork and outstanding performance throughout the tournament.

And a special thank you to everyone who came out to support SBSA! Your energy, encouragement and support from the sidelines truly made a difference.💙

A Look Behind the Scenes

On 16th September, SBSA learners Laïka William, Ezekiel Alcindor, Rahiem Jeannevol, Thyra Hortere and Amisha Larue had the opportunity to attend the National Information Services Agency (NISA) Open Day.

The learners gained insight into how NISA operates on a daily basis and got to witness first-hand how newspapers are produced and printed. NISA also provided a tour of their headquarters which gave the learners the opportunity to explore different departments and see the machinery used in the production process.

Learning Beyond the Classroom

On 19th June, the Seychelles Revenue Commission (SRC) visited SBSA to deliver an insightful talk to our BMA learners.

The session provided valuable knowledge on taxation, the role of SRC, and the importance of understanding our responsibilities as future professionals and entrepreneurs.

DISCOVER AI: HOW AI IS SHAPING TOMORROW’S CAREERS

Over the past two days, our SBSA Year 3 learners stepped into the world of Artificial Intelligence!

On Thursday, 27th August, our Accounting & Finance (AF) and Human Resource (HR) learners took part in an engaging AI session, followed by our Business Management & Administration (BMA) learners on Friday, 28th August.

From discovering what is AI and what isn’t, to exploring how AI can support our learning, work and future careers, the sessions gave us a fresh perspective on the technology shaping the world around us.

Learners also got to explore the importance of writing effective prompts, putting their knowledge to the test through fun games, activities, discussions and interactive challenges.

It was two days filled with learning, laughter, curiosity and new ideas — reminding us that preparing for tomorrow’s careers means understanding the technology of today.

Learning PR Beyond the Classroom

On 20 August 2026, SBSA learners from the PR course had the privilege of visiting the Seychelles Revenue Commission (SRC) for an insightful educational visit that brought the classroom learning into a real-world context.

The visit reinforced an important PR message: public relations goes beyond traditional media. It involves strategic communication, crisis management, stakeholder engagement, teamwork, reputation management, and building strong relationships with the public and other organisations.

Through practical insights from SRC, learners gained a deeper understanding of how effective communication, timely decision-making, and coordinated responses can help organisations navigate challenges and protect their reputation. Most importantly, the experience allowed learners to connect the theories and concepts learned in PR sessions in class with real-life professional practice.

A sincere thank you to the Seychelles Revenue Commission for welcoming the SBSA learners, sharing valuable professional knowledge, and contributing to the learning experience. Your willingness to place teaching and learning in a real-life context made the visit both meaningful and memorable.

Key takeaway: Effective PR is not only about communicating a message—it is about building trust, managing relationships, responding strategically, and protecting organisational reputation.

On Tuesday 11th August 2026, our HR3 learners welcomed Ms. Cheryl Marie, HR Manager at Mango House, for a special guest session as part of their International HRM course.

She shared first-hand experiences from the field, walked students through real challenges and opportunities in International HRM, and opened the floor for an interactive Q&A.

It was an inspiring afternoon of learning, reflection, and meaningful conversation.
