Cruise tourism in Honiara and wider 🇸🇧 is gaining strong 💪 momentum, with2️⃣0️⃣2️⃣6️⃣ to 2️⃣0️⃣2️⃣7️⃣schedules showing increased ship🛳️ arrivals and premium expedition itineraries.

Recent visits from vessels like MS Noordam, Oceania Riviera, and Le Soleal highlight rising interest, while upcoming calls from Ponant, Seabourn, and Royal Caribbean signal continued growth.

This progress is supported by the new Millennium Cruise Passenger Terminal at Point Cruz and strengthened international engagement, including participation at Sea trade Cruise Global.

Tourism Solomons or Visit Solomon Islands has launched a new campaign inviting Australian and New Zealand travel agents to create a tagline for the destination’s upcoming advertising campaign.

Branded “Let Your Imagination Set Sail — and Win!”, the initiative encourages agents to submit a line that best represents the Solomon Islands’ unique appeal — from pristine beaches and vibrant culture to world-class diving, surfing, fishing, and adventure experiences.

The winning tagline will feature in Tourism Solomons’ next round of destination marketing, giving the winning travel professional national recognition and a special “Tagio Tumas” prize pack.

Tourism Solomons Australia Trade Manager Richard Skewes said the campaign highlights the vital role of travel agents in shaping destination awareness.

“Agents are on the frontline promoting our islands every day, and this challenge lets them help define our story,” he said.
