No word fits better than Alhamdulillah.
I was ready to quit after the damage of last year — but instead, I chose myself.

For 10 years as Calimaat, I focused on representing everyone else at their best, while forgetting me. This year, I finally looked inward, thought bigger, and allowed myself to dream beyond limits.

Doors opened I never imagined. Childhood dreams came true. I worked with — and became friends with — people I once saw as role models. I won my first film award as a director, filmmaker, and creative director.

Alhamdulillah became more than praise — it became my identity.
Grateful for the blessings and the lessons.

This is only the beginning.
2026 will be big.

Two Illustrations, two alternatives.
This is my take if I was the Art Director for debut film

Happy to announce that our short film “Februarsturm” is officially nominated at shortfilm festival! I am very proud with my brothers (who wrote this poem) .guttstadt who made this epic and melancholic music, to all contributors, to have conjured up such a beautiful piece and to give this extremely important topic more attention. After 5 years we still remember & we don‘t forget!

It was a bit quiet here. And for a good reason.
Over the last few months, I've taken a step back with projects that will now see the light of day. Exciting, funny and sad ones. One of them is my short film “February Storm”, which I had the honor to be a part of.
The project “February Storm” is dedicated to the memory of the victims of the racist terrorist attack in Hanau on February 19, 2020. Based on the poem of the same name “Februarsturm” by Zakariya Keskinkılıç, the lyrical short film brings together performative, lyrical, musical and cinematic arts. “Februarsturm” artistically processes the memory of Hanau and strengthens debates about solidarity, resistance and remembrance. The production of “February Storm” was realized jointly by Zakariya Keskinkılıç , Guttstadt and myself and funded by the CPPD.
