This year shall be very interesting.
đŁ Mid December 2025, AI Generated music were topping the Billboard charts.
đŁ But thatâs only the surface. Behind it: tech developers building the tools, social media pushing a âmake music, make money fastâ narrative, and streaming services quietly shifting the rules.
đŁ 2026 isnât just about AI music, itâs a perfect storm of forces converging on culture, business, and creativity.
đŁ I looked closer, looked back⊠Were there signs? Is there a pattern? What role did we play? Hereâs what I found

Had a thoughts on the 1000's venues I had the joy, opportunity and pleasure to play at, hang out and worked with during the last 3 decades....made me reflects on why some spaces seems to get it right from the starts, programming on point âïž service âïž vibesâïž designâïž foodâïž dope staffâïž great crowdâïž consistencyâïž...
while other fails and struggle â get a lot of hype, then abandoned by its patrons rushing to the next thing â dope design but filmsy crowd â erratic programming â boring DJs â expensive yet boring â bad staff & service etc...
Let's not even talk about soundsystems...
Its not even about the $$$ thrown into it...some venues have that "aura"....and most of them have something in common...
intentional intangible Infrastructure...what?

Quick musical lexicon for music lovers
:
Live musicians creating improvised grooves and melodies together. They might reinterpret known tracks or start from scratch. The result, chaotic or beautiful, depends on the players' skill, collaboration, and chemistry. D'Angelo's album Voodoo, for instance, was born from years of jamming with a plethora of talented musicians, lead by at Jimi Hendrix's Electric Lady studio.
Jam = Live Musicians.
Track:
In DJ culture, this is a version of a song without its lead vocal (backing vocals remain). It has two purposes, 1) allows artists to perform "semi-live" on TV without a full band, so they sing live without clashing with their original lead vocal. 2) DJ to be creative during their set.
This makes jamming with a DJ a unique challenge. Instrumentalists must blend with the DJ's pre-recorded tracks without overwhelming the song's original structure and vocals. Jams are not rehearsed, only loosely structured.
With that in mind, please enjoy this magical moment which occurred yesterday during our tribute event for D'Angelo.

Itâs specifically because the scene is flooded with wannabes, and because venues and festivals seem unable to discern and appreciate the skills, the artform, the research, and to separate it from the riff-raff, that these posts are necessary. Like a reminder of whatâs what. Because during the acceleration process of social media⊠something fundamental has been lost.
Itâs funny tho⊠imagine if everybody suddenly decided being a Chef is cool. Restaurants would serve sh*t food, Chefs would be making a show of themselves while cooking, juggling utensils, dancing, caring more about which outfit to wear than about the dish itself. Theyâd open cans of processed food and throw it on a plate. And in the middle of the kitchen, instead of focus and craft, youâd have a giant LED screen blasting visuals to distract people from the fact that the meal is garbage.
