I found some time today to continue exploring the possibilities of using @verometal_international on some extruded steel table bases from @rockler_woodworking. These are sold already powdercoated. We sanded the finish and applied some #VeroMetal in our solvent binder using #agedbronze. Then I began sanding with #400grit then buffed the metal back up using #0000steelwool. Imagine the possibilities of taking a $100 pair of steel legs and turning them into a #bronzetable base. This required about 400 grams of mixed product for both legs. That equates to about $35 of VeroMetal. I just increased the value of these legs (that are a commodity in the market place) by a factor of at least 4-5 X in about 90 minutes of labor. 1/4" thick Brass sells for over $200 a sq foot. Bronze is 4 times the cost.... Attention all #furniturerefinishers #furnituremakeover artists.... there are dollars to be made.....
