With short SMD Tape lengths, expensive components or short production runs this is unlikely to be acceptable. Valuable components can be saved. The yellow, self-adhesive section is permanently attached up to the black mark. Cover Tape Extenders are supplied in special transport, storage and dispensing cartons, from where they are easily picked one at the time.
