A project dear to us has just become reality. We're proud that Caravana cu Medici Bihor, together with Caravana cu Medici -Timișoara Branch and Rotary Club Oradea Insignis, has won funding through the Raiffeisen Comunități program.

Here's what the project sets out to do: installing 30 defibrillators in 30 rural communities across western and south-western Romania. Over 6,700 people will be trained to recognize cardiac arrest and how to step in.

Why it matters: out-of-hospital cardiac arrest is one of the leading causes of preventable death in Romania. Only 4 in 100 people survive. One of the lowest rates in Europe.

In rural areas, an ambulance can take over 40 minutes to arrive. In this timeframe, a trained person nearby is the difference between life and death.

That's exactly what this project is building.

We sponsored this project because it's a real example of what we believe in: knowledge matters most when it's used to help and protect people.

The Ready4IT journey continues: 3 sessions focused on AI and Data Science, straight to the real stuff. Our mentors pulled back the curtain on how they actually use AI and Data Science in their work: internal projects, real client solutions across Healthcare, Insurance, and Logistics, and the fast-paced world of Hackathons.

This isn't new ground for us — since 2018, long before ChatGPT, Qubiz has been running hands-on projects in data modeling, generic algorithms, NLP and OCR model training. "Ahead of the curve" isn't a tagline, it's where we've been for years.
We explored the tools that truly deliver, the ones that don't, and the cautionary tales that helped demystify what AI can and can't do.

No extensive experience needed, just the right mindset. We're looking for people who are curious, take ownership, communicate well, and have a genuine passion for technology. English is mandatory.

💡 The Qubiz Hackathon has come to an end and this edition raised the bar.

For the first time, our teams worked directly from real-world domain challenges brought in by Fred Kwakkel and René ten Hove ten Hove, who joined us in Oradea from the Netherlands: actual gaps identified by domain experts in healthcare and energy.

The results reflected that. From AI-assisted shift handover summaries and patient timelines in healthcare, to predictive consumption models and intelligent BESS dashboards in energy, every solution was built around a problem that genuinely exists.

Several projects are already in conversation with prospects. That is the standard we aim for.

Our thanks go to every colleague who brought their expertise and commitment to making this edition one to remember.

Something special is happening at Ready4IT x Qubiz and we're just getting started. 🙌

We've finished our first 2 sessions — UX Design and the Product Owner / Business Analyst role and honestly, it's been so much more than learning about IT careers.

Real conversations. Real people. Real energy in the room.

We got to know each other, shared our passions and hobbies and talked about what we're each hoping to build for our futures.

One thing that really stayed with us? UX and PO/BA are more connected than you'd think. Both roles are deeply human — they're all about understanding people, being close to users and clients, keeping things simple, and improving through feedback.

And speaking of feedback — our students are at the center of everything. Their voices, questions, and reflections are what make this program come alive. 🌱

Games, practical examples, and honest conversations made every session feel real, not just theory.
