This week Anca Vescan, CEO and Andrei Mocan, Head of Growth represented AXON Soft at Next Industry Forum, an international event organized for the first time in dedicated to defense technologies and cybersecurity.

Our colleague Andrei Mocan moderated the discussion panel around cyber resilience, digital transformation, and security of critical industrial infrastructures.

We thank the organizers DWNT and Romania United Foundation for creating the opportunity for ministers, experts in cybersecurity, suppliers of advanced technologies, top IT and defense companies came together to discuss strategic topics of security and innovation in the fields of defense & cybersecurity.

“What’s the ROI of this?” ⏩One of the most common (and misunderstood) questions in product development.

Because ROI isn’t just revenue.

Sometimes, ROI means reducing risk before it becomes expensive.
Sometimes, it’s accelerating time to market.
Sometimes, it’s validating (or invalidating) a direction early, before more resources are committed.

And often, it’s creating the clarity needed to make better decisions next.

ROI in tech is rarely immediate and almost never one-dimensional.

We must look past the “What will this generate?” question to “What will this enable, prevent, or accelerate?” perspective. Because this is where real value is created.

Plans change. Priorities shift. What made sense 3 months ago might not make sense today.

That’s the reality of building tech products.

And that’s why in product development, adaptability isn’t a “nice-to-have”.
