Orthodox monastery built directly in the stone wall
This is Pestera Ialomitei Monastery which translates into Ialomita river's cave
There is indeed a cave behind the monastery walls and the river Ialomita runs at the bottom of the monastery
It is a beautiful and relaxing place and I would go back here anytime ❤

Balea lake on top of the Fagaras Mountains is one of the most breath-taking sights in entire Romania!
This amazing glaciar lake is located at 2000 m height in the southern Carpathians in Romania, only 3 hours away from the capital Bucharest
While the cities are burning hot this place was nice and cool and there was even snow!
For all mountain lovers this is a great location for hiking, treking or just enjoying the beautiful view 😍
We got here on our Transfagarasan Day Tour starting from Bucharest. We run this tour all summer long at it is one of our best sellers ( no wonder :P)
The road that gets to this lake is called Transfagarasan and was designated "the best road in the world"by Top Gear team 😁

This is the Clay Castle in Romania 😍😍 one of my favourite places in my country 😁
People around here call it the fairytale castle, the fairies castle and even the gingerbread castle 🤣 .
Well no it's not gingerbread but interesting fact: the castle was built using only natural materials such as wood, clay and river stone. .
The fairies castle... well Its unique design was actually inspired from a fairytale 😎 Can you guess which one? 😏 it does look a lot like the 7 dwarfs house in Snow White, doesn't it? 😋
The construction is pretty recent though. The owner started building it in 2014 wanting to create a fairytale place for his 8 years old son. The castle is not finished yet but once it's done it will function as a boutique hotel offering accommodation, local meals, horse riding and many other fun activities 🤗
I am looking forward to the grand opening and to seeing the rooms inside 😊

This is the fortified church of Viscri located in the heart of 😍
Did you know that the name Viscri comes from the German words Weiße Kirche = Weißkirch which literally means White Church 😉
This is because the church was build by the German community who started living in Transylvania in the XII century and are still a minority here today!
Not only the church but the entire village is listed as one of the UNESCO World Heritages Sites in Romania.
If you ever come near this will be a great place to stop by... the village is so quiet and peaceful, people are living a calm life here, there are ducks by the side of the road and villagers go around on horses... It feels like stepping back in time 😍

The was first built at the beginning of the XIII century and was a walled city on top of the hill for a very long time. Later the city in the valley was built and the fortress was only being used for observation around the area and defense in case of attacks.
Today is a museum and a favourite highlight for visitors from everywhere 🤗
