FITS has unveiled the program for its 33rd edition, taking place June 19–28 in Sibiu.

Under the theme “Soul,” this year’s festival brings together major international names such as F***y Ardant and Wim Vandekeybus, alongside large-scale outdoor shows and local productions. Nearly half of the events will be free, with tickets going on sale May 6.

Romania took centre stage in the European conversation on circular economy at Resource Recovery Summit 2026, where the country’s Deposit Return System (DRS) was examined as one of the most relevant implementation models currently in the European Union.

Organised by the Government of Romania, through the Ministry of Environment, Waters and Forests, in collaboration with Green Revolution Association and with the support of Envipco and RetuRO, the event brought together European leaders, representatives of international institutions, businesses and industry.
