Bucharest Model NATO Conference

The Bucharest Model NATO Conference is an annual simulation of the North Atlantic Treaty Organization. The second edition of the conference is scheduled for January 28- 31, 2015. The Conference is a simulation of the proceedings of the North Atlantic Treaty Organization that provides a unique opportunity for high school and university students to study the role and activities of NATO, as well as the political, military and economic issues it faces. By participating in this event, students gain a better and more complete understanding of the capabilities and rules that shape the policies of NATO countries when determining matters of collective security. Moreover, a contemporary crisis will be announced during the meetings. The delegates will have to come up with a solution to solve the crisis and reshape their previous propositions in a manner that would still advantage their country in the new situation. Each participant represents a Member State of NATO and/or a Member State of the Euro-Atlantic Partnership Council (EAPC). Upon registration, all participants will receive the Agenda. The assigned countries will be revealed prior to the conference, so that participants can research the topics and their country’s background.
