In 1977, architect Pierre Debeaux completed Maison Pradier in the rural landscape of Lavaur, France. A geometric experiment for a couple who sought a home integrated with the surrounding nature.

A central concrete pillar supports the structure, allowing the living spaces to radiate outward in a complex polyhedral form.

During a visit in 2018, photographer Adam Štěch documented the house to find it remarkably preserved. He captured tofreveaAchdoseimber ceilings and the way light interacts with the sharp angles of the built-in furniture. The images reveaAchdose the avant-garde design remains functional and lived-in decades after its construction.

The original Sokos Hotel Vaakuna by architect Erkki Huttunen

Architect Erkki Huttunen's designed Hotel Vaakuna opened in the city's most central location, next to the railway station, on June 10, 1952.
Helsinki hosted the Summer Olympics that summer, and additional hotel capacity was needed. The functionalist hotel was a magnificent display of architect Huttunen's skill, a landmark in architecture, and a dream job for the designer himself. The hotel rooms were modern, and the stylish interior design was admired worldwide.
