What an exceptional moment for Romanian gastronomy.
Being part of the jury at the National Selection of Bocuse DβOr was both an honour and a responsibility.. a reminder of how much talent, discipline and ambition exist in our kitchens.
My warmest congratulations go to the winning team, TEAM 5 - Chef Vasilica Bejenaru, commis Andrei Lupoi and coach Liviu Preda.
Their work showed precision, creativity and the level of determination that this competition demands.
At the same time, I want to congratulate all the teams who competed. Every dish, every idea and every effort brought value to this selection.
Competitions like Bocuse dβOr push us forward, and each team contributed to raising the standards of our industry.
But this victory is only the first step. The road to Bocuse dβOr Europe in Marseille is long, intense and unforgiving. There is still much to refine, to polish, to elevate.. and I truly believe that with humility, hard work and right focus, we can rise to the challenge ahead.
I would also like to offer my sincere thanks to Cezar, whose vision and perseverance brought this competition to Romania. It is a gesture that will remain in the history of our gastronomy and I am grateful to have been part of this important moment.
To the winning team: stay disciplined, stay curious and keep pushing your limits.
