There are moments that don’t happen often. Moments when you get the chance to step away from the usual pace, share an experience with clients, alumni, friends, and simply be present. This is fjordthefilm , the latest film by acclaimed Romanian filmmaker, Cristian Mungiu, who won his second Palme d'Or at the 79th Festival de Cannes this year. KPMG in Romania & Moldova was pleased to host a special private screening of Fjord recently. The evening began with a welcome cocktail and opening addresses from Ramona Jurubita , René Schöb and Cristian Mungiu, setting the stage for an event that exceeded expectations.

KPMG in Romania & Moldova is pleased to support Romanian culture and to create moments that inspire meaningful conversations, strengthen connections, and celebrate brilliant creative talent. fjordthefilm is Romania’s official entry for the Academy Awards in 2027, and it stands as a powerful cultural ambassador, bringing Romanian storytelling and creativity to the world stage.

Beyond the film itself, the evening was also an opportunity to celebrate the people who shape our success. Bringing over 400 clients, partners and friends together to recognize success, the event reflected the values that define us: excellence, leadership, and a commitment to continuous growth.

Fjord aims to be the national project for Romania, which we are honored to play our part in. We would like to thank our clients for attending this event and we encourage the business community to continue to promote and support Romanian talent.

Why do so many capable people still feel they're not enough? This was one of the questions explored by psychologist Psiholog Dr. Raluca Anton during her session ,"Impostor Syndrome in a World That Never Stops Comparing", part of our All Firm event.

In a world shaped by constant comparison, achievement and increasingly high expectations, the conversation invited us to reflect on self-doubt, perfectionism, identity and authenticity.

Her message was a timely reminder that confidence does not come from having all the answers, but from learning to move forward despite uncertainty.

Perhaps the most important takeaway was that growth begins when we stop measuring ourselves against others and start building a healthier relationship with our own expectations.

What makes us relevant in a world where technology is advancing faster than ever?

This was the question that brought together more than 1,000 colleagues from across KPMG Romania & Moldova for our All Firm Teambuilding event, with a bold theme: Relevance. Beyond the Algorithm.

Through thought-provoking conversations, inspiring stories and meaningful connections, we explored what remains uniquely human in the age of AI.

From our leadership panel, Staying Relevant in a Changing World, moderated by Ramona Jurubita, Country Managing Partner, KPMG in Romania & Moldova, CEE Head of Clients & Markets, featured Rene Schöb, CEE Head of Tax & Legal, Mădălina Racovițan, Head of Tax & Legal, KPMG in Romania & Moldova, Adela Ciucioi, Head of Audit, KPMG in Romania & Moldova and CEE Audit Transformation Leader and Tudor Grecu, Head of Advisory, KPMG in Romania & Moldova and CEE Head to the perspectives shared by AI expert Ana-Maria Stancu, psychologist Psiholog Dr. Raluca Anton and author Marius Balo, the day challenged us to reflect on curiosity, resilience, authenticity, purpose and the value we create beyond technology.

And because relevance is also about connection, community and celebrating together, we ended the evening the best way possible: with great conversations, plenty of energy and an unforgettable live performance by Theo Rose and her band, all sprinkled with witty remarks from Consultantu Cristi who doubled up as an MC and corporate standup comedian.

Ne bucurăm să îi avem alături din nou pe elevii participanți în proiectul 311348 și să dăm startul unei noi ediții a stagiilor de practică.

Pentru că anul acesta sunt elevi de clasa a XII-a, le dorim mult succes în noul an școlar, inspirație în alegerile pe care le vor face și rezultate pe măsura efortului depus. Sperăm ca experiența de practică să îi ajute să își descopere interesele și să își contureze următorii pași după absolvire.

Proiectul „Parteneriat pentru competență - practica, primul pas către o carieră în domeniul economic” (Cod SMIS: 311348)

As part of the leadership development programme we have built together with Casa Paleologu over the years, colleagues recently took part in a study trip to Cluj-Napoca and Alba Iulia.

Throughout four days of exploration, participants visit museums, cathedrals, historical sites, and cultural landmarks, including the Cluj Art Museum, the Museum of the Metropolis of Cluj, the Batthyaneum, the National Museum of the Union, and the Coronation Cathedral.

These experiences encourage participants to look at leadership through a broader lens, exploring how culture, history, values, and ideas have shaped communities and societies over time.

At KPMG, we believe leadership development is most meaningful when it combines professional growth with intellectual curiosity, and our collaboration with Casa Paleologu continues to provide exactly that kind of learning opportunity.

What if you could step into an auditor’s shoes, for a day? That’s what 𝐑𝐀𝐓𝐈𝐎 - Asociația Studenților Contabili Academy at KPMG was all about. 🔎

Students experienced the roles of auditors and clients through a real-life-inspired audit exercise.

They asked questions, requested information, checked confirmation letters, verified invoices, analysed evidence and drew their own conclusions.

They exercised curiosity, critical thinking, attention to detail and the courage to question what you see.
