LOCI (Faculté d'architecture, d'ingénierie architecturale, d'urbanisme - LOCI Architecture Faculty of the UCL) will host an ambitious cycle of conferences on themes such as heritage preservation, new participatory citizen practices and recent architectural developments in Romania. În căutarea unei nișe comune, în care să încadrăm căutările noastre, explorăm ideea nostalgiei subtile, atentă și reverențioasă simultan. Nostalgia este un catalizator al călătoriei spre casă, iar pentru noi nostosul, drumul mitic al eroului, devine o metaforă a redescoperirii unei sensibilități pierdute, a unei priviri recunoscătoare ce nu se sfiește să admită măsura în care un proiect e nostalgic așa cm privirea spre trecut este de fapt o căutare a unui viitor nedeterminat.

[EN]: In our search for common ground, for a definition of our attempts, we explore the idea of subtle nostalgia, a view that is simultaneously caring and reverent. Nostalgia is a catalist of the journey to our home, and for us, the nostos, the mythical return of the hero, becomes a metaphor of redescovering a lost sense, a grateful perspective on the world as we've received it, one that is not shy about admiting that a project is nostalgic in the same way in which exploring the past is really the search for an unforseeable future.
