What does the future of the architectural profession look like in an increasingly interconnected world?
The Romanian-American University will organize on June 10 the event “Challenges and Opportunities of the Architectural Profession between Europe and America: Education, Practice, and Leadership in a Global Profession”, a discussion dedicated to those interested in the evolution of architecture and the opportunities of an international career.
The keynote speaker is Prof. Architect Vladimir Arsene, founder of Westfourth Architecture (New York – Bucharest), member of the American Institute of Architects (AIA) and the Order of Architects of Romania (OAR). Having taught at two schools of architecture in the United States and currently serving as a professor at the “Ion Mincu” University of Architecture and Urban Planning, Vladimir Arsene is recognized as one of the leading figures in Romanian and international architecture. Drawing on a professional career developed across Europe and the United States, he will share valuable insights into architectural education, professional practice, and leadership in a constantly evolving field.
Building on this international perspective, the event will bring together academic and professional leaders for a discussion on educating future generations of architects, adapting the profession to emerging technologies, and developing the skills required in a global context:

The discussion will provide valuable insights into the evolving role of architects and the competencies that will define the next generation of professionals.

RAU is at NAFSA 2026 in Orlando!
The Romanian-American University is participating in the NAFSA 2026 Annual Conference & Expo, taking place in Orlando, Florida, 26–29 May 2026, one of the most important global events dedicated to international education.

🌍 Romanian-American University organizes the International Scientific Conference “Human Rights at Risk: Organized Crime at Sea and Across Borders (OC SAB)”

As part of COST Action CA23103 – BlueRights, funded by Horizon Europe, the conference brings together researchers, human rights experts, investigative journalists, security specialists, and decision-makers to examine the impact of organized crime on human rights in maritime and cross-border contexts.

The Romanian-American University hosted the third edition of the “Competitive Intelligence International Conference”, organized in collaboration with IntelligenceCompetitiv.ro.
The conference addressed two main discussion topics: “The Role of Competitive Intelligence in Protecting Your Business from Industrial Espionage” respectively “Competitive Intelligence and Strategic Decision-Making.”
During their presentations, Răzvan Grigorescu, Amir Fleischman, and Ben Gilad conveyed several key messages:
🔹Industrial espionage represents a significant threat to private companies, including Romanian businesses.
🔹Competitive Intelligence can play a crucial role in the early identification and prevention of industrial espionage.
🔹Companies must be aware of the importance of protecting their confidential information, against accidental loss or leaks, theft, and unauthorized disclosure to third parties.
🔹With regard to the role of competitive intelligence in informing strategic decisions, it was emphasised that it must impact decisions by providing forward-looking competitive insights.

Innovation and Strategy in Communication: How Do Major Digital Marketing Campaigns Work? 📈
The Center for Latin American Studies within the university, in collaboration with the Embassy of the Federative Republic of Brazil in Romania, organized a special event dedicated to future marketing and communication specialists. 🤝
Rodrigo Hoffmann, Director at JKR Agency, offered students an applied and extremely valuable perspective on how well-structured strategies transform creativity into tangible business results. With over two decades of experience, he analyzed case studies and complex international projects created for well-known global brands such as Dell, Philips, Budweiser, Stella Artois, and Airbnb.🌟
The main topics covered in the presentation included:
🔹 Strategic marketing planning and choosing the ideal mix of digital and traditional channels;
🔹 Building campaigns with cultural and emotional relevance;
🔹 Influencer campaign management and practical ex*****on within the agency.

🎓 At the Romanian-American University, we had the joy of organizing a new edition of the "International Teaching Week", alongside the Erasmus+ Office! 🌍✨
Professors from Kosovo, Peru, Ukraine, Morocco, Turkey, Cyprus, Canada, Jordan, and Azerbaijan joined us for a few days filled with dialogue, fresh ideas, and enthusiastically shared experiences. 🤝🏫
Together with our students, the guest professors created a truly multicultural space, where courses, discussions, and interactive activities brought different people and perspectives closer together. 📚💡

The Romanian-American University, in partnership with the University of Hyogo, Japan, launches the first Japan–Romania double degree master’s program in business and entrepreneurship.
The International Business and Entrepreneurship program offers students the opportunity to obtain two internationally recognized degrees and access academic and practical experiences in both Romania and Japan.
The initiative contributes to preparing future specialists for the global economy, developing intercultural skills, and strengthening academic relations between Romania and Japan.

Through this new partnership, the Romanian-American University strengthens its role as an international educational hub and continues to develop programs connected to the transformations of the global economy and the current demands of the labor market.
