Beautiful Places to Hike 🇲🇹 part 1 - Save for your next outdoor adventure! 🌍👈

Today we're starting off our journey on the beautiful island of Gozo, Malta's quieter sister to the north.

Once you get off the ferry boat, head west along the shoreline enjoying the seaview the entire way.

The path will lead you around boulders and into small coves and sandy shorelines.

Make sure to walk along the waterfront as often as possible, or go high up on the cliffs for a magnificent view across the other islands of Comino and Malta. 🤩

The destination in this video 'Mġarr ix-Xini' is just over 3km or 45mins one-way if you simply walk straight there, but I highly recommend taking your time, bringing lunch or a snack and exploring the whole day. ☀️

*fyi... there are no restaurants or bathrooms along the way, so make sure to bring water and be prepared. 👍

Tonight we enjoyed a sunset bonfire over the Ripoi conservancy, after a beautiful big game drive where we saw every animal from the Lion King! 🤩

Having never traveled to Kenya before, I really didn't know what to expect, who to trust, and what to look out for.

Because of Melete, my son and I have been able to relax and enjoy the experience, and not have to worry about logistics, park passes, excursions, food or airfare. 😮‍💨

I can honestly say that I have never wanted to leave a country less. ❤️ Kenya is filled with warm welcoming people, and absolutely stunning national parks and preserves. It has been one of my greatest pleasures to see just a glimpse of its nature and beauty, and I will be back again one day soon. 🥹🫶🇰🇪

Springtime on the Island of Malta! 🌸👈🌍

If you're planning to travel to Malta or visit the Maltese islands, springtime is a great time to be outdoors. 💚

Malta is never greener than right after it's rainy season, when and the islands bloom with colour and the air temperature hovers between 15-25C (59-77F). 🌡️

As the sea warms in the bays and small coves, the water begins to reach temperatures of 18C (65F) making it refreshing during a warm day's hike.

Since the winter storms have washed away any debris or algae, the waters are nice and clear during this time, and the hillsides are alive with desert flowers.

Stick to the north or west of the island of Malta for the best hiking and greenest outdoors, or anywhere along the coastline of either islands of Comino or Gozo. 😉✌️🌍

Hippo Highway traffic jam! - Do you know how amazing hippos are? 😍

Hippos can run up to 40kmph (25mph) and have canine teeth that can reach a half a meter (20in).

They are incredibly social and vocal creatures that use their grunts, snorts, and honks to communicate with others their territory, mating rights, and intentions.

They are fiercely territorial with up to 80% of their vocalisation made underwater, and certain sounds they make reach over 115 decibels (like standing next to a speaker at a rock concert).

It's like watching floating dinosaurs! 🦛👈🫶
