eBio-hub Open Investors Day- Advancing Biomedical Innovation On 16 December 2025, the third Open Investors Day, co-hosted by eBio-hub and MGM Star Construct SRL at Politehnica Bucharest, brought together researchers and industry stakeholders to advance collaboration in biomedical innovation. Focused on bridging research and industrial application, the event showcased strategic objectives, technological capabilities, and future joint initiatives—strengthening this partnership as a catalyst for progress in biomedical engineering.

eBio-hub Open investors day - From science to business took place on 26 November 2025, organized by the Center of Excellence in Bioengineering – eBio-hub, in collaboration with the Romanian Academy of Scientists and POLITEHNICA Bucharest.The event explored pathways for translating academic research into market-ready ventures through the Venture Studio model, featuring an invited lecture by Dr. George Crețu. With strong engagement from researchers, industry representatives, and entrepreneurs, the symposium reaffirmed eBio-hub’s role in connecting science with industry and fostering knowledge-based startups.

eBio-hub at CAS 2025 – Sparking Innovation in Nanotech & Electronics: From 7–12 October 2025, Prof. Cornel Cobianu represented eBio-hub at the International Semiconductor Conference (CAS 2025) in Sinaia. During this period, he delivered oral presentations on cutting-edge nanocomposite sensors, actively contributed to bioengineering sessions like “NerveRepack” and “NET4Air”, and played a key role in the FET100 workshop on sustainable electronics. His engagement fostered lively scientific discussions and explored future international collaborations

From sequencing to nutrigenomics: On 18 Sept 2025 eBio-Hub hosted the Microbiome & Nutrition Workshop led by Prof. Gratiela Grădișteanu. We explored how cutting-edge microbiome science translates into nutrition—covering sequencing tools, microbiome engineering, nutrigenomics, and diet–microbiome links. With international insights from Assoc. Prof. Gabriela Tenea (Universidad Técnica del Norte, Ecuador), the workshop spotlighted microbial metabolites, strain validation, and why function matters beyond taxonomy.

Celebrating Bilateral Excellence: The project „Plasmonic e-Tattoo Device for Ketone Detection from Sweat” coordinated by Ciprian Iliescu -ERA Chair and of eBio-hub and Vlaceslav Sprincean -Moldova State University was awarded in the presence of Daniel DaDirector vid – Romanian Minister of Research and Education at Researchers' Forum "Stronger Together in the European Research Area", 2nd edition on 23rd of August 2025, at Chișinău. The Researcher’s Forum is an event dedicated to strengthening collaboration between researchers from Romania and the Republic of Moldova by facilitating dialogue, exchange of ideas, and joint initiatives in the fields of research and innovation.

These engineered cell models are part of our bioengineering platform, designed to explore how microbiome modulators influence gut barrier integrity, immune responses, and overall host health.
