Bial is one of the ten founding brands of Made in Portugal, an initiative launched by Porto Business School that brings together Portuguese companies from different sectors around a common vision: to value the strength of national brands and their contribution to Portugal's competitiveness and projection.

The questions can quickly pile up: When can I go back to work? What are my rights? What support is available if I’m temporarily or permanently unable to work? And where can I turn for help?
In this episode of Top of Mind, Margarida Santos sits down with cardiologist Alexandre Antunes, from ULS Região de Leiria, to talk about life after a heart attack from physical recovery to the emotional, family, professional and financial challenges that can follow.
They discuss cardiac rehabilitation, returning to work, sick leave and benefits, disability and other forms of financial and social support, including where to find reliable information, who to turn to for guidance and what paperwork may be important to keep.
Because recovery isn’t just physical.
This episode also explores the fear of having another heart attack, the challenge of regaining independence, and the important role family members and caregivers can play in helping someone get back to everyday life.
Surviving a heart attack is only the beginning. Learning how to move forward, rebuild your life and access the support you’re entitled to is part of recovery too.

❤️ Dia Mundial do Coração
Hoje assinala-se o Dia Mundial do Coração, uma data dedicada à sensibilização para a prevenção das doenças cardiovasculares, que continuam a ser uma das principais causas de doença e mortalidade em todo o mundo.
Para assinalar esta data, a Bial, em parceria com a Sociedade Portuguesa de Cardiologia (SPC), promoveu, na passada semana, um Rastreio Cardiovascular na Sede (Trofa) e na Delegação de Lisboa, que terminou com uma sessão de esclarecimento liderada por Rui Baptista, Secretário-Geral da SPC.
Esta iniciativa pretendia, acima de tudo, reforçar a importância da prevenção, da deteção precoce e da adoção de estilos de vida saudáveis.

Today marks World Heart Day, a day dedicated to raising awareness of the prevention of cardiovascular diseases, which remain one of the leading causes of illness and death worldwide.
To mark this occasion, Bial, in partnership with the Portuguese Society of Cardiology (Sociedade Portuguesa de Cardiologia - SPC), organised a cardiovascular screening event last week at its headquarters (Trofa) and at its Lisbon branch, which concluded with an information session led by Rui Baptista, Secretary-General of the SPC.
Above all, this initiative aimed to emphasise the importance of prevention, early detection, and adopting healthy lifestyles.

The docuseries by the Fundação Bial has been awarded a Silver Dolphin Trophy in the Trailers and Teasers for Documentaries and Reports category at one of the world's leading corporate film festivals.

“Empowering pharmacists for healthier futures” is the theme of World Pharmacists Day, selected by the International Pharmaceutical Federation (FIP).
