Live Over Porto: closing the main stage at Primavera Sound Porto.

it’s been little over a year since we merged into MXGPU. we’ve been dedicating ourselves to the music and everything that surrounds it: visually, physically, in every format it takes. but the raison d’etre of this project are the live shows. we strive to give audiences a unique experience, much like the ones we had growing up and watching live music. in this day and age, we feel it’s important to highlight experiences where humanity is front and center.

from the very beginning, we’ve made no concessions around the way we present our music live. our wildest dreams are always followed with “ok how do we make it happen,” and the team that surrounds us have been enabling bigger and bigger adventures. this has been true for the promoters, organizers and audiences who believed in the vision and joined us.

last saturday, Primavera Sound Porto dared us to take it up a notch. suspended 30 meters above you by a gigantic crane, floating right in front of the main stage, closing the festival. weeks of planning, risk calculations, endless details: all to make us fly. we got to work. and history happened.

watching a sea of people dancing from above as we played ‘take me home’. lightning in the distance. that warm june saturday in porto. that moment, those smiles, that view, will always live in our hearts.

‘rio’ was made for our brazil debut and played for the first time at mayan warrior brazil, on a beautiful sunrise set at Morro da Urca.
we imagined a late night drive through that magical city whose memories are imprinted in our minds since we were little kids.

from Rio to the world. we made our next single ‘rio’ dreaming about our debut at the Carnaval and we premiered at a mesmerizing sunrise in Morro da Urca just after our live debut in Brazil. next friday it’s yours. comment “RIO” to pre-save it 🇧🇷

we played the first party in a castle from the 9th century in Sintra.
if these walls could talk, they’d still be raving about the energy last saturday.
a completey new setlist filled with unrelased IDs 👀.

a crowd that welcomed us like family.
we couldn’t help but get on the decks afterwards for a DJ set too.
we loved every minute of it.
