It's kinda chic to...
..produce your own music..notice the little things..release songs even if nobody listens..start before you're ready..write for a music magazine..love music that much..have hobbies that don't pay..turn life experiences into songs..not know what's next..synch music with nature..have doubts and keep going anyway.

It's vacation time 🏖️
Traveling light is my motto. And yet, here I am again, packing way too much.
When it comes to music, the big question is: What should I bring with me? Even on vacation, I want to keep working on my music and writing new songs. Vacation is a great time to soak up lots of new inspiration, and it’s essential that these images, ideas, and feelings find their way into new songs and come home with me as inspiration 🤩
That means I need a reliable, high-quality setup that I can take with me anywhere, whether I’m at the beach, by the pool, in my hotel room, or on the go. But let’s be honest: a MIDI keyboard, headphones, an audio interface, a mic, and a notebook with a pen (or a note-taking app) are really all I need this time.
Because the fine-tuning and final production then take place at home in the studio. Also looking forward to that 🤩 But for now, I'm curious to see what voice recordings end up on my Phone and what ideas end up in my notebook. So stay tuned with me 😉
'Alone' is now available to stream everywhere. I'm super excited because it's the first song I've released in a really long time. And also because it marks a new musical direction for me. Writing 'Alone' (and the other songs that are coming soon, so stay tuned! :)) just felt right.
I love the vibe of “Alone” because it gives me a sense of being at peace with myself. Being alone—and enjoying it. For a long time, I found it hard to be alone with myself and to tolerate the silence that often comes with it.
These days, I love spending time on my own and really cherish those moments. They’re moments when I’m completely present with myself and connected to myself. Not distracted by anything that overshadows my own feelings, but fully in the moment. And that’s wonderful 🌈 Give it a try 🙃
I deliberately named the song “Alone,” because that term still often carries negative connotations. With this song, I want to counter that feeling. Because being alone isn’t the same as being lonely. It offers a great opportunity to get to know and appreciate yourself. And that’s not always easy—but it’s beautiful and valuable! For yourself and also for the people you’re connected to in everyday life.

Things have been a little quiet around here lately. That’s because I’ve been working a lot on new songs and spending a lot of time offline and outdoors, seeking fresh inspiration from all sorts of things. On short road trips, balmy summer nights, surrounded by fireflies, beautiful music, and good conversations... That’s why I’m even more excited that, after a long hiatus, I’ll finally be releasing a new song in the next few days. So stay tuned :)

Producing on the go in the summer heat 🌆✨
I’m on the road a lot again these days. Honestly, I’ve stopped counting how many hours I spend on trains, at bus stations, in Ubers, and everywhere in between. I use the time I spend “waiting” to work on my music. It’s not always comfortable or luxurious (as you can see), but it does have its own charm if you let yourself get into it.
I also often come up with new ideas while on the go, which I can then capture right away. Or I might unexpectedly come across some unusual sounds, which I record and then, at some point, edit and incorporate into my songs as part of the sound design. That’s what makes traveling and producing on the go so interesting.
But for hot days like these, I really should get myself a small, travel-sized fan ;)
Spring is in the air 🌸
Creating a soft spring soundtrack using flowers and a tiny MIDI controller.
For this setup, I connected pastel-colored carnations to my Playtron. Each flower responds with its own soft tone, like a delicate melody of spring. Additionally, I added a soft Wurlitzer melody and jazzy beat to the sound of the Playtron Jam, to create a cool and relaxed spring vibe.
I love how it turned out. ✨🌈
