Spring at the Parklet! It has been such a joy watching this space grow into a relaxing spot for the Beechmont neighborhood. Come grab a coffee at or a bite at Annie’s Café and bring it to the picnic table to enjoy this beautiful weather.

the FUNNIEST project I’ve ever designed.

The bones and the bar were already there, but we added a ton of sophistication and some stability to the historical building on Main Street. Highly recommend the laughs and the pretzel bites!

is complete and in-use at the University of Louisville this semester.

We transformed a classroom in Brigman Hall adding tons more light and headroom when we raised the ceiling. And just look at those amazing windows we uncovered.

That beautiful arched top had been hidden in the ceiling for years.

CONGRATULATIONS to all involved with this first cohort of students. BIM Certificate Training Program through The Plan Room provides a direct route into AEC.

The Plan Room improves inclusion for women and minorities in the Architecture, Engineering, and Construction spaces. Teaching BIM modeling skills and real on-the-job training, we strive to encourage big changes in social equity, inclusion in the AEC industry in Louisville, but mostly in the trajectory of students’ lives.

New projects have kept me running around lately, we’ll talk more about that soon. I thought I’d do a quick little intro again for the new friends. I am the Principal and Architect behind SNDBX (aka Sandbox 😉) Design Collaborative. You would think I’m just designing all day. But I love to work with others bringing serious play to each and every project.

In self-employed reality, I spend most days working on client acquisition and retention… Designer, Chief problem solver, Ideation and Envisioning, Drawing, Drawing production and document creation.

I have had mentors in the past - Teachers, Professors, and as of late, Colleagues. I believe in continual learning and challenge myself to grow in related disciplines to Architecture such as Project Management and Business Development.

Can you believe these windows were partially covered and you couldn’t see the amazing arch? We are excited to open this room up and let more light in💡
