ReLIEable Museum: Questioning Truth Through Student Voices

In a world shaped by misinformation, fake news, and constantly shifting narratives, our students invite us to pause, question, and reflect. Museu da Mentira / ReLIEable Museum is an interdisciplinary exhibition created by 5th, 6th, and 7th grade students through Portuguese and Art & Design classes, exploring the complex theme of disinformation through words, visuals, and critical thinking.

The opening took place on June 1st with students and families, but the exhibition remains open to all visitors until June 12th in the Main Building. We warmly invite our community to experience this immersive and thought-provoking journey, discover the incredible creativity and talent of our students, and engage in conversations about truth, perception, and the stories we choose to believe.

Students became teachers during our Teachers Teach Teachers training session, guiding staff through a Model United Nations simulation.Students led the session and demonstrated how interdisciplinary learning can combine research, communication, collaboration, critical thinking, and creativity through authentic learning experiences.

Some of our 9th- and 11th-grade Portuguese First Language students visited the University of Coimbra to present research projects on African literature, engaging in academic dialogue with university students and exploring the city centre and campus.

Class 2C explored learning through inquiry, research, and collaboration during the second term. With support from families, students built models and transformed knowledge into active, hands-on experiences. This project-based approach encouraged curiosity, autonomy, and teamwork, making learning more meaningful and engaging for all involved.

Fifth-grade students are turning ideas into action through Design for Change. Working in teams, they developed creative solutions to improve traffic safety around the school and recently presented their proposals to the School Traffic Committee.
