Founded in 2016, BuildPalestine was introduced as the first Palestinian crowdfunding platform to provide an alternative means of funding for local communities in Palestine. While rockets fly overhead, we’re reviewing Q1 KPIs.
This is the BuildPalestine team. Scattered across time zones, united in purpose. Sumud isn’t just a word — it’s a practice. It’s showing up to build a future for Palestine even when the present is unbearable.
We added three new team members this quarter, fully funded a medical clinic in Gaza, and selected 8 Root Fellows from our biggest application pool yet (402 applicants!).

In 2020, Sarah founded , a creative home in her besieged neighborhood (Wadi Al-Samen /Hebron) where children can draw, imagine, write, and belong. Through art workshops, book discussions, exhibitions, and psychological support, Rommana has become something rare and essential: a place where children in Wadi Al-Samen can simply be children.
