We call it the starfish flower. It’s a cactus bloom! So many bizarre plants that reflect creatures of land & sea.

Dragon fruits are here! 🐉🌺💓
I can’t help myself to devour them as soon as they are ripe. Fresh off the vine, still warm from the tropical sun. ☀️ yum yum!
We are going to have a boat load very soon. 🛶

This is the 4th haul of star fruits from our (still quite small) carambola tree!
We feel so blessed to have the gift of these delicious tropical fruits.
Our favorite way to eat them.. dehydrated. 🧡

It’s pineapple season! And the best sunsets from the farm this time of year. And..a little project the doggos are “helping” with. 🌿🌅🍍

The passion flowers are so intriguing. I’ve never tried one as a cut flower so this is experimental. Special order for a few special ladies on island.

Things are coming together again. Always a busy day here on the finca.
The girls help make a mess of the mangoes. Fresh guavas galore and pretty flowers blooming daily. New seeds in the ground. Hope in the harvest. Faith in Gods plan. Always.

We’re back! After a winter in Pennsylvania the Vieques sun sure feels nice.
Lots of work to do here on the farm.
Lots of changes in our life that keep us on our toes.
Always open for visitors.
Garden market on hold for now.
Stay tuned.

They say I make no difference....
For how are they to know.
They sit inside their office....
Just going with the flow.
They have never felt my presence,
Touched my coat or breathed my air.
How can they make judgement...
When they have nothing to compare.
They have never seen me gently...
Pull someone from the edge.
Theyve never seen my silence...
Calm the voices in their head.
Theyve never felt their own heart rate..
Be regulated by mine.
Im not asking much from you...
Just a little of your time.
Come spend it in my presence...
Close your eyes, feel at peace.
Be completely in the moment...
For it will put your mind at ease.
I am not a magic healer....
I leave that to the best.
I am just a humble horse...

One of the Easter orphans (Calabaza) just had her first hatchlings! Nothing too special on the island as there are 1000s of chickens roaming around. Special for us though because I raised this hen up through the many odds against her. Fingers crossed her babies make it too. 🙏
