Here is the truth behind the scare tactics:

The "Junk" Myth: The software is inflating numbers by flagging browser cookies and cache files. These files are actually supposed to be there! They help websites and apps load faster so your computer doesn't have to re-download them every time.

The "Broken Registry" Myth: Registry cleaners are unnecessary and Microsoft explicitly warns against them. Cleaning "broken" keys doesn't speed up your PC, but letting software automatically delete them can actually break your system.

The Real (Free) Way to Fix Windows Errors:
If your computer is actually acting up, you don't need to buy premium software. Windows has powerful, built-in repair tools you can run yourself for free.

Right-click your Start button and open Command Prompt (as Administrator) or Terminal (Admin).

Type DISM /Online /Cleanup-Image /RestoreHealth and hit Enter. (This repairs your Windows image).

Next, type SFC /scannow and hit Enter. (This scans and repairs corrupted system files).

Restart your machine.

I'm Not saying don't use Norton, even if Defender is still great and has less weight. I am saying don't fall for the gimmick. This "Screw ware" is also available in Leovo Vantage, CCleaner and other bloatware designed to scan your system for issues it will claim to fix. It is all designed to scare you into paying. Never fall for it or you will have to call a repair technician to fix this.

Don't fall for the paid up-sells. Windows 11 is already great at taking care of itself! If it ever gets too complicated, don't hesitate to call Real Computer Services.
