⏳✈️ 10 days left until the Detachment 756 Spring 2026 Commissioning Ceremony!
In just 10 days, Detachment 756 will proudly commission 11 cadets as Second Lieutenants in the U.S. Air Force and U.S. Space Force.
After years of dedication, leadership development, academic excellence, and military training, these future officers will take the Oath of Office and begin their journey of service to our nation.

The future just got real. FY27 officially got their AFSC job drops. After years of hard work and dedication, the moment they’ve been waiting for is finally here. Detachment 756 is proud of every cadet for reaching this milestone and excited for what’s next.

🇵🇷 FUTURE LT ALERT 🇵🇷
Det 756’s current Force Support Squadron Commander, Cadet Rose Sanchez, is finishing her degree in Kinesiology as she prepares to commission as an officer in the United States Air Force. Originally from Hatillo, Puerto Rico, she will be headed to Aviano AB, Italy, where she will serve as a Force Support Officer.
Outside of AFROTC, C/Sanchez enjoys staying active, reading, traveling, and exploring new places. She also loves drinking coffee probably a little too much and spending quality time with her loved ones.
It is hard for her to choose just one favorite AFROTC memory, but one of the most meaningful parts of her journey has been watching the people she helped along the way grow while also gaining a second family throughout the years.
Fun Fact: She became a Yankees fan because of her aunt, and ever since, baseball games have become one of her favorite experiences.

🇵🇷 FUTURE LT ALERT 🇵🇷
Det 756’s current Squadron Commander, Cadet Gerardo Lopez Ramos, is finishing his degree in Mechanical Engineering as he prepares to commission as an officer in the United States Air Force. Originally from San Lorenzo, Puerto Rico, he will be headed to Keesler AFB, Mississippi, where he will begin his career in the cyber field.
Outside of AFROTC, C/Lopez Ramos enjoys traveling, spending time with his family, and going to the beach.
Some of his favorite AFROTC memories include spending a few weeks in Colorado Springs at the United States Air Force Academy during the SOAR program.

🇵🇷 FUTURE LT ALERT 🇵🇷
Det 756’s current Deputy Wing Commander, Cadet Cruz Vázquez, is finishing her degree in Kinesiology as she prepares to commission as an officer in the United States Air Force. Originally from Guayama, Puerto Rico, she will be headed to F.E. Warren AFB, Wyoming, where she will serve as an Aerospace Physiologist.
Outside of AFROTC, C/Cruz Vázquez enjoys spending time with friends and family, listening to music, going to the beach, traveling, staying active, and appreciating the simple moments that turn into great memories.
Some of her favorite AFROTC memories include her Base Level Exposure at Luke AFB, Arizona, and participating in Project GO, where she was immersed in the Arabic language during a two-month experience living in Morocco.

🇵🇷 FUTURE LT ALERT 🇵🇷
Det 756’s former Operations Group Commander, Cadet Serrano Pérez, completed his degree in Mechanical Engineering last fall semester and is currently awaiting his commission. Originally from Isabela, Puerto Rico, he will be headed to Vance AFB, Oklahoma, where he will attend Undergraduate Pilot Training with hopes of tracking T-38s.
Outside of AFROTC, C/Serrano Pérez enjoys spending time with his dog, reading comics, riding his motorcycle, and spending time with his friends and family.
Some of his favorite AFROTC memories include his experience at the Cadet Language Immersion Program in San Antonio, Texas.

🇵🇷 FUTURE LT ALERT 🇵🇷
Det 756’s current Cadet Wing Commander, Cadet Fernando Colón, is studying Criminology at the Pontifical Catholic University of Puerto Rico. Originally from Juana Díaz, Puerto Rico, he will commission into the United States Air Force as an Airfield Operations Officer (AFSC 13M) and will be headed to Nellis AFB, Nevada.
Outside of AFROTC, C/Colón enjoys spending time with his family, driving and discovering new places, and participating in all types of sports. One of his personal milestones to achieve is finding the perfect Neapolitan Margherita pizza and visiting all seven continents.
Some of his favorite AFROTC memories include his freefall experience and Combatives ODT.
Fun Fact: He has watched the movie Cars nearly 150 times making him basically a subject matter expert of that universe. 🚗💨

🇵🇷 FUTURE LT ALERT 🇵🇷
Det 756’s current Project Development Officer, Cadet Gabriel Figueroa Rosado, is graduating from the University of Puerto Rico-Mayagüez with a degree in Electrical Engineering.
Originally from Añasco, Puerto Rico, he will commission into the United States Air Force as a Developmental Engineer and will attend the Air Force Institute of Technology to pursue a master’s degree in Electrical Engineering.
Outside of AFROTC, C/Figueroa enjoys exploring the outdoors, staying active (especially chasing waterfalls) and spending time with loved ones.
Some of his favorite AFROTC memories include traveling to Washington, D.C. and the U.S Embassy in Honduras during a FAO ODT.
