Last night at was magical! I was honored to receive an invitation.
Ended this Monday in with my favorite wannabe turned .
We’ve had quite a few people reach out to us today, from family members to classmates, so we wanted to let everyone know that Mexico City is safe at this time. The violence that is occurring is a few states west of us. (As a point of comparison in distance, if something happened in Pennsylvania, chances are that folks in North Carolina aren’t being affected.) The mainstream media in the US usually paints Mexico as a monolith, but there are various challenges that different regions have across the country, and thankfully the capial city is not currently being affective by those challenges in the west.
That being said, thank you all for the concern and keep praying not only that the violence does not make its way here, but also that calmer heads prevail in the affected areas.

came to DF for last night, so we made a game time decision to call a babysitter and enjoy our first concert in Mexico City. Definitely don’t regret it. It wasn’t , but, if you closed your eyes for a moment, it felt like Saturday mornings in a Black household.
