We popularize patient-friendly examination of the whole gastrointestinal tract using our own capsule

28/07/2026

At VOSF, one thing was clear: veterinarians are looking for diagnostic tools that deliver real value in everyday practice.

Together with Technomed, our exclusive PetCam distributor in Poland, we joined the 6th Veterinary Orthopedic & Surgery Conference with a live setup of the PetCam veterinary technology stack on our stand.

Our Sales Manager was on site to answer questions, walk visitors through the BioCam telemedicine platform, and show how capsule endoscopy can fit into everyday veterinary diagnostics.

The event stands out because it brings together clinicians, researchers, and manufacturers around one goal: better treatment standards for small animals.

For us, that made it the right place to show how capsule endoscopy can support evidence-based decision-making, broaden access to GI diagnostics, and improve comfort for patients and teams.

We’re hiring: Technical Project Manager

At BioCam, this role sits close to the core of what we build: connecting engineering, software, and medtech in a product that has to work in the real world, not just on paper.

We’re looking for someone who likes structure, takes ownership, and can keep complex technical work moving in the right direction. The role combines day-to-day coordination of R&D work, support for software development, documentation, and collaboration with partners and clinical teams.

PetCam Scenario #4: Making Pet Surgery Safer | BioCam 13/07/2026

While capsule endoscopy is widely recognized as an essential tool for primary care, its strategic value in specialized veterinary centers is equally significant.

Today, we conclude our PetCam Application Scenarios series by exploring how specialty clinics utilize this technology to optimize complex diagnostic workflows and elevate patient safety.

Integrating PetCam into specialty practice does not replace traditional endoscopy; rather, it refines it. It provides the crucial roadmap specialists need to make procedures safer, faster, and highly targeted.

PetCam Scenario #3: Navigating High Anesthesia Risk | BioCam 01/07/2026

Today we celebrate National Dog Day in Poland, and on this special occasion, we want to talk about providing the safest possible care for our senior best friends. 🐕

One of the hardest conversations in veterinary medicine? Telling an owner their senior dog needs an examination, but might not survive the anesthesia.

Today, we are releasing the third article in our PetCam Application Scenarios series. We are tackling a massive daily challenge for clinics: navigating diagnostics for high-risk patients.

Meet Rambo, a 12-year-old Giant Schnauzer suffering from severe weight loss and chronic vomiting. Because of his age and underlying kidney disease, standard endoscopy poses a significant, potentially life-threatening anesthesia risk. His veterinary team faces a tough call: risk the anesthesia for GI imaging, or keep treating him blindly?

With PetCam, they don't have to guess. Read the full story of Rambo's recovery on our blog:

Big news from BioCam: we’ve joined the NVIDIA Inception Program.

This gives us access to technical resources, partner benefits, and a stronger connection to the broader startup and VC ecosystem, all of which help us move faster as we build.

It’s another step toward scaling the technology behind BioCam and PetCam with the right tools, the right support, and the right momentum.

Grateful and excited for what’s next.

If you didn’t have the chance to visit the Miami event, we invite you to read an interview with Bartek Rusecki, who spoke to Money.pl on site about why BioCam is working to make capsule endoscopy a more accessible alternative to traditional examinations.

The article takes a closer look at what we are building, why the need is real, and how BioCam is pushing advanced GI diagnostics toward a less invasive future.

Połknięcie kapsułki zamiast klasycznej gastroskopii lub kolonoskopii? Wrocławski BioCam pokazuje w Miami rewolucyjną technologię, która wykonuje nawet 150 tys. zdjęć przewodu pokarmowego, a AI pomaga lekarzowi szybciej przeanalizować wyniki badania.
