Poznan Guide

This train has just arrived to Poznań Main Station attracting some tourists to take pictures. ;)
There are only two lines in Europe with regular passenger service provided by steam locomotives and both start in Wolsztyn, about 70 km west of Poznań. Trains connect that pictoresque town, a home of famous engine house with Leszno and Poznań.

Just love warm evenings on the Old Market Square. :-)

Becoming greener every day - a new park in the city centre! Yesterday I enjoyed a walk into Old River Bed of Warta Park (Park w Starym Korycie Warty). It was opened last year. I am glad to see the plants are growing and the infrastructure is being used by people. Park stands on the former river bed of Warta which was diverted to current one in 1968.

This is also Poznań - old river bed of Warta in the district of Naramowice.

There is a new flower carpet in Adam Mickiewicz Park in the heart of the city. :-)

I remember such buses from my childhood. Today few of them are used only on tourist lines like this one - number 100 going to the New Zoo from the Main Train Station.

I enjoyed this view from Strzałowa street although the weather wasn't good.
