ROAD TRANSPORT INSPECTION IN POLAND
Despite plans to close down the Road Transport Inspection, the body still controls drivers traveling on Polish roads and there are no signs that this will change in the near future. The scope of inspection covers checking the technical condition of vehicle, the working time of driver and the correct use of time recorders. Control can be performed statically - control points or dynamically - on control sections.

GERMANY INTRODUCES THE TOLL ON ALL FEDERAL ROADS
On all federal roads in Germany, from 1 July 2018, tolls from trucks will be in force. Currently, the toll is only applicable to motorways and selected national roads.

Driving truck only the main road in Greece
Greece has banned using alternative routes to avoid paying for toll roads. Drivers who will want to save on toll will get high traffic fines. A refusal to pay a fine will have effect in the immobilized vehicle.

Ecologic vignettes in Austria after May 1, 2017

Vehicles with Euro 1 and Euro 2 emissions will no longer pass through Tirol. Trucks of more than 7.5 tons of Euro 3, Euro 4, Euro 5 and Euro 6 emission classes must be labeled due to a sectoral ban on crossing Tirol. Ecologic vignettes can only be purchased at authorized retailers for an equivalent of 25 to 50 Euro. Penalty for not possessing the proper vignette is over 2.000 Euro.

Summer traffic restrictions in Belarus and Ukraine

From May 23, 2017 in Belarus and from June 1, 2017 in Ukraine, there will be periodic restrictions on the movement of heavy goods vehicles. By August 31, 2017, a traffic ban have been introduced on national roads of Belarus with asphalt surface at a temperature above 25°C between 10:00 and 20:00 and for trucks with a pressure of over 6 tons per single axle. In Ukraine, there will be a ban between 10:00 and 22:00 at temperatures above 28°C on trucks with a weight of over 24 tons and axle load of seven tons.
