A throwback to my playing days. I did manage a hundred during my career, so I reckon I’m qualified to talk about batting! 😂

Great to see Matt Renshaw score his Test hundred today.

What impressed me was his patience and discipline, particularly getting through the second new ball.

As a fast bowler, there’s nothing more frustrating than a batsman occupying the crease and making you come back for spell after spell. That’s when the legs get heavy and the game becomes a real battle.

Renshaw showed there’s still a place for traditional Test batting.
And to do it at No. 5, despite being a recognised opener, makes it even more impressive.

Well played, Renners! 👏
