BASIC Takes Another Powerful Step Toward Inclusion & Accessibility
June 14th, 2026, was a day of hope and dignity in Hyderabad Rural Taluka. Dozens of individuals received brand-new mobility aids at the Assistive Devices Distribution Ceremony arranged by the Building Advanced Society through Integrated Community (BASIC) Development Foundation, with vital support from the Department of Empowerment of Persons with Disabilities (DEPD), Government of Sindh.
The wheelchairs and assistive devices were given to the most underprivileged men, women, and children with disabilities. These wheelchairs and contraptions will bring enormous value to these people, boosting their daily mobility and independence. The distribution ceremony was held near Hussain Hall, Mirpurkhas Road, bringing support directly to rural Hyderabad.
BASIC Dev. Foundation firmly believes that Inclusion is synonymous with empowerment, and when we break down physical barriers, we can open up a world of opportunities for everyone.

A meeting took place today in Village Hamzo Khushak with Hazar Khan, an organization member, to talk about how climate change is affecting farming and the environment.
During the discussion, the member pointed out that shifting weather patterns and rising temperatures are badly harming crops. He stressed that farmers need to collaborate and plant more trees along canals and within their fields. This step can shield both people and crops from intense heat, enhance the local environment, and lessen the negative effects of climate change.
Hazar Khan also displayed the trees that had already been planted under this initiative. He added that the crops they grow cannot withstand the increasing heat, and because of extreme temperatures, many of them dry up and get destroyed before they fully mature.

Patani Mallah ke log aaj bhi sirf aik fasal aur dariya ke pani par zindagi guzarne par majboor hain…
Aur Mallah biradari ka purana rozgar bhi dheere dheere khatam hota ja raha hai.
Yeh sirf aik gaon ki kahani nahi, balke un tamam ilaqon ki awaaz hai jahan pani aur rozgar dono ek struggle ban chuke hain.”
