In a race (see picture bellow) ,athlete Abel Mutai representing Kenya,was just a few feet from the finish line ,but he was confused with the signage & stopped thinking that he had completed the race . The Spanish athlete Ivan Fernandez was right behind him & realizing what was happening ,he started shouting at the Kenyan for him to continue running ,but Mutai didn't know Spanish and couldn't understand .Then the Spanish pushed him to victory . A journalist asked Ivan , "why did you do that ?" Ivan replied "My dream is that someday we can have a kind of community life ". The journalist insisted "But why did you let the Kenyan win?" .Ivan replied ," I didn't let him win ,he was going to win" . the journalist insisted again "But you could have won!" ,Ivan looked at him and replied "But what would be my merit of victory ? what would be the honour of that Medal ? What would my Mom think of that ?" .

Notes - Values are transmitted from generation to generation .
what values are we teaching our children?
Let us not teach our kids the wrong ways & means to "win"...

فہد نے 1 گھنٹے میں 10 کلو میٹر فاصلہ طے کیا
حارث نے ڈیڑھ گھنٹے میں یہی فاصلہ طے کیا
دونوں میں سے کون تیز رفتار اور صحت مند ہوا ؟
یقینا ہمارا جواب ہوگا "فہد "
اگر ہم کہیں کہ فہد نے یہ فاصلہ ایک تیار ٹریک پر طے کیا جب کہ حارث نے ریتیلے راستے پر چل کر طے کیا تب؟
تب ہمارا جواب ہوگا "حارث"
لیکن ہمیں معلوم ہوا کہ فہد کی عمر 50 سال ہے جب کہ حارث کی عمر 25 سال تب؟
ہم دوبارہ کہیں گے کہ "فہد "
مگر ہمیں یہ بھی معلوم ہوا کہ حارث کا وزن 140 کلو ہے جب کہ فہد کا وزن 65 کلو تب؟
تب ہم کہیں گے "حارث"
جوں جوں ہم فہد اور حارث سے متعلق زیادہ جان لیں گے ان میں سے کون بہتر ہے ان سے متعلق ہماری رائے اور فیصلہ بھی بدل جائے گا.
ہم بہت سطحی چیزیں اور بہت جلدی میں رائے قائم کرتے ہیں جس سے ہم خود اور دوسروں کے ساتھ انصاف نہیں کر پاتے ہیں.
اسی طرح خود کو دوسروں کے ساتھ تقابل کرتے ہوئے بھی ہم میں سے بہت سارے اسی سطحیت کا شکار ہو کر مایوس ہو جاتے ہیں حالانکہ
ہر ایک کا ماحول مختلف ہوتا ہے
مواقع مختلف ہوتے ہیں
زندگی مختلف ہوتی ہے
وسائل مختلف ہوتے ہیں
مسائل مختلف ہوتے ہیں
آپ اپنے کسی ہم عمر سے کسی کام میں پیچھے ہیں تو اس کا یہ مطلب نہیں کہ وہ کامیاب اور آپ ناکام ہیں،وہ افضل اور آپ کمتر ہیں،ممکن ہے آپ کو میسر مواقع،ظروف اور درپیش حالات کو دیکھا جائے تو آپ ان سے بہت بہتر پرفارم کر رہے ہوں.

زندگی کی دوڑ میں خود کو کبھی کمتر نہ سمجھو،احساس کمتری شکست کی پہلی سیڑھی ہے.
