Photo of Attabad Lake 🇵🇰 taken for the first time from that incredible height of 5700 meters, showing a full aerial view of the lake.
That lake was formed in 2010 after a massive landslide blocked the Hunza River, creating a natural dam. What began as a disaster is now turning into a blessing.
Today, it stands as one of the most famous tourist attractions in Hunza Valley, and thousands of local and international tourists visit this lake every year.

"DANYOR ROCK INSCRIPTION"
Danyor rock inscriptions are written in sanskrit lipi, which belongs to 7th and 8th century AD. The texts of the inscriptions tell the names of tibetan rulers of Gilgit. In 724 AD, according to the danyor rock, the kingdom of great and little Bolor merged under Tibetan suzerainty. There was a short Chinese interlude from 747 AD to 751 AD, when the Chinese invaded successfully across the Broghail and Darkot passes and captures yasin.
Locally this inscribed rock is known as 'Likhito Giri'.
