CSK Falcons HIGH School

Ms. Janita Khan and Miss Alishba Anam from Team Elements Learning recently conducted a hands-on Mathematics Teacher Training at CSK Falcon School, Naltar, focusing on the CPA (Concrete–Pictorial–Abstract) methodology for teaching Grades 1 to 5.

Over five days, the training covered:
Curriculum-linked SLOs
Use of Tangrams, Geoboards, Circular Geoboards, Base-10 Blocks, and Fraction Boards
Mental Math strategies and puzzles

Research shows that using manipulatives and concrete tools in the classroom significantly improves students' understanding, especially in the early years. These resources will now help teachers in Naltar create more engaging and meaningful learning experiences for their students.

Our focus is on helping children build strong foundational math concepts, using some of the most effective teaching approaches used globally. It's inspiring to see that these practices are now reaching students in remote valleys like Naltar — thanks to the dedication of the teachers.

We are especially thankful to the teachers of CSK Falcon. Their commitment to education and to the children of this valley is truly admirable. How they support each other and bring passion and care to their classrooms every day deserves recognition and respect.
