شکرانے اور غم کے آنسو تھم نہیں رہے ہیں۔ دل ایک امام کے آنے سے خوش ہے تو دوسرے امام کی پردہ پوشی سے رو رہا ہے۔

گلگت بلتستان میں مجھ جیسے ہزاروں ہونگے جن کے ماں باپ اتنے ان پڑھ تھے کی الف اور A بھی نہیں جانتے دنیا سے گزر گئے۔ پاؤں میں پھٹے ربڑ کے جوتے کئ بار پیوند لگا کے گزارا کرنا اور دوائی کی بوتل میں مٹی کا تیل ڈال کے راتوں کو روشنی کا بندوست کرنا بہت سارے لوگوں کے لیے مزاق کی بات ہوگی۔ گھر میں انکھ کھول کے پہلا دیدار درجنوں بندوقوں اور گدھوں کا ہوتا تھا جو قبائلی طرز کے لوگوں کا سب سے بڑا اثاثہ ہوا کرتے تھے۔

بکریاں چرانا، مال مویشیوں کی دیکھ بال کرنا، 6 ـ7 سال کی عمر میں ادھی رات اٹھ کے کھیتوں میں جانا، لکڑیاں اکھٹے کرنے کی خاطر ندیوں میں جانا، پیٹھ پے لکڑیاں اٹھا کے میلوں دور سفر کرنا اور پھر رات جانوروں کو حساب کر کے مویشی خانوں میں بند کرنا بس یہی زندگی تھی۔

پھر مولانا شاہ کریم نے ایسے سکول بنائے جہاں ہمارے داخلے ہوئے، دیکھتے ہی دیکھتے سوچ بدل گئی، دن گزر گئے اور ہم دو عشروں کے اندر وہاں پہنچے جہاں لوگ صدیوں میں پہنچ جاتے ہیں۔

نیچے دی گئ سکول میں داخلہ لے کے مجھ جیسے ہزاروں کے تقدیر بدلتے سارے لوگوں نے دیکھا ہے ۔ نرسری کلاس میں ہمارا لباس کم و بیش اوپر والی تصویر کی تھی جہاں مٹی اور ٹاٹ پے بیٹھ کے سبق حاصل کرتے تھے۔ پھر آٹھویں کلاس میں ہمیں وہ سکول اور چیئر ملیں جو اسلام کے ٹاپ سکولوں میں آج بھی نہیں۔

یہی وہ مولا کے احسانات ہیں جس کے لیے ہم لاکھوں شکرانے پیش کرتے ہیں اور عقیدت کے انسو بہاتے ہیں۔

His Highness Prince Karim Al-Hussaini, Aga Khan IV, 49th hereditary Imam of the Shia Ismaili Muslims and direct descendant of the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him), passed away peacefully in Lisbon on 4 February 2025, aged 88, surrounded by his family. Prince Karim Aga Khan was the founder and chairman of the Aga Khan Development Network.

The announcement of his designated successor will follow.

Barlaas Akbar, a student of Grade 11 Pre-Engineering at AKHSS Gilgit, showcased remarkable talent by securing 4th position among 15 top national athletes in the Athletics category of the Quaid-e-Azam National Games 2024. His achievement becomes even more inspiring considering he accomplished this without access to proper training camps or modern equipment, proving his dedication and potential on a national level.

Personally, if I had two children, and one was a boy and the other a girl, and if I could afford to educate only one, I would have no hesitation in giving the higher education to the girl.

Meet Shukoor Ullah Baig Hailing from Barkolti Yasin Ghizer, alumus of AKHSS Gilgit ( class of 2018) recently cleared the recruitment procedure(Physical endurance test, written test, psychological assessment and interview) of Assistant Sub-Inspector in GB police.
We congratulate him on behalf og AKHSS Gilgit family.

Let’s give a big applause to Mr. Shahid Ali Naeem S/O Mr. Abid Ali Naeem belong to Roushan, Gupis Ghizer Gilgit Baltistan for joining Mass Communication Department Forman Christian College (A Chartered University) Lahore as Regular Lecturer. He has 4 years of teaching and almost one decade of Journalistic experience with Geo, Dunya, samaa, express, 92NewsHD, Waqt and Lahore News HD.
He is having his PhD thesis nowadays and affiliated with top university of Pakistan.
He is formanite and he was student of AKHSS Gilgit as well.
