Capping the day was the distribution of uniform and book allowances for 99 Diploma Course scholars, led by the Technical Education and Skills Development Authority (TESDA) through TESDA CaMaNaVa District Director Vergel P. Soriano. 🎓✨

The activity was honored by the presence of District 2 Councilor Hon. Niña Lopez, who delivered a congratulatory message, and VYNEC Chairperson Ivern Cervantes, who shared her inspiring success story while championing the 5E’s—Education, Employment, Entrepreneurship, Civic Engagement, and Environmental Conservation.

The beneficiaries are currently enrolled in three-year Diploma of Technology programs in Civil Technology, Cybersecurity, Electrical Technology, Heating, Ventilating, Air Conditioning and Refrigeration Technology, and Welding and Fabrication Technology. Each scholar received a ₱5,000 book allowance and a ₱500 uniform allowance to support their academic journey.

Valenzuela City takes another big step for the youth as the College of 𝐕𝐚𝐥𝐞𝐧𝐳𝐮𝐞𝐥𝐚 𝐂𝐢𝐭𝐲 𝐓𝐞𝐜𝐡𝐧𝐨𝐥𝐨𝐠𝐢𝐜𝐚𝐥 𝐂𝐨𝐥𝐥𝐞𝐠𝐞 hosts the 𝐘𝐨𝐮𝐭𝐡 𝐑𝐈𝐒𝐄 (𝐑𝐞𝐬𝐢𝐥𝐢𝐞𝐧𝐜𝐞, 𝐈𝐧𝐧𝐨𝐯𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧, 𝐒𝐤𝐢𝐥𝐥𝐬, 𝐄𝐧𝐭𝐫𝐞𝐩𝐫𝐞𝐧𝐞𝐮𝐫𝐬𝐡𝐢𝐩, 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐄𝐦𝐩𝐥𝐨𝐲𝐚𝐛𝐢𝐥𝐢𝐭𝐲) Inception Workshop of 𝐏𝐥𝐚𝐧 𝐈𝐧𝐭𝐞𝐫𝐧𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐚𝐥 𝐏𝐢𝐥𝐢𝐩𝐢𝐧𝐚𝐬—officially launching a three-year program soon to roll out in the city. 🚀

Youth RISE is all about creating real opportunities for marginalized youth, especially young women, through skills development and employability support. The workshop also brought together key partners—DSWD, DepEd (ALS), PESO, CSWDO, and the Sangguniang Bayan Committee on Youth Development—to align roles, share insights, and strengthen collaboration for a more inclusive future.

We were honored by the presence of District 2 Councilor Hon. Niña Lopez and VYNEC Chairperson Ivern Cervantes, with opening remarks from ValTech VP for Administration Mrs. Ma. Cecilia Romano and a project overview by Youth RISE Project Manager Ms. Merlyn Tabada-Martinez.

This is youth empowerment in action. Sama-sama, we rise, innovate, and build better futures for the next generation. 💙🔥

We extend our heartfelt thanks to 𝐋𝐘𝐃𝐎 𝐕𝐚𝐥𝐞𝐧𝐳𝐮𝐞𝐥𝐚 for the successful Mass Oath-Taking of all registered and accredited youth organizations in Valenzuela City. This gathering strengthened unity, accountability, and shared purpose among youth leaders across the city. 💙

Thank you as well to 𝐌𝐚𝐲𝐨𝐫 𝐖𝐞𝐬 𝐆𝐚𝐭𝐜𝐡𝐚𝐥𝐢𝐚𝐧 for the 𝐏𝐀𝐍𝐀𝐓𝐀𝐆 𝐄𝐬𝐬𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐢𝐚𝐥 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐄𝐦𝐞𝐫𝐠𝐞𝐧𝐜𝐲 𝐆𝐨-𝐁𝐚𝐠 𝐊𝐢𝐭𝐬, helping equip young leaders to be more prepared, resilient, and ready in times of emergencies and disasters. 𝕂𝔸𝔹𝔸𝕋𝔸𝔸ℕ, ℙ𝕀𝕃𝕀𝕀ℕ 𝕄𝕆 𝔸ℕ𝔾 ℙ𝕀𝕃𝕀ℙ𝕀ℕ𝔸𝕊

The 𝐏𝐚𝐬𝐢𝐠𝐋𝐚𝐛𝐚𝐧 𝐊𝐚𝐛𝐚𝐭𝐚𝐚𝐧 𝐂𝐨𝐧𝐯𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝟐𝟎𝟐𝟔 (𝐊𝐚𝐛𝐂𝐨𝐧 𝟐𝟎𝟐𝟔) was successfully held on January 25, 2026, at Tanghalang Rizal, Pasig City. With the theme “Piliin Mo ang Pilipinas,” hundreds of young people from across the Greater Manila Area gathered to deepen their awareness of corruption issues, responsible media use, and the need to break traditional politics.

Led by 𝐍𝐘𝐂 𝐂𝐡𝐚𝐢𝐫𝐩𝐞𝐫𝐬𝐨𝐧 𝐔𝐒𝐞𝐜. 𝐉𝐞𝐟𝐟 𝐎𝐫𝐭𝐞𝐠𝐚, 𝐌𝐚𝐲𝐨𝐫 𝐕𝐢𝐜𝐨 𝐒𝐨𝐭𝐭𝐨, 𝐃𝐫. 𝐂𝐢𝐞𝐥𝐨 𝐌𝐚𝐠𝐧𝐨, 𝐆𝐚𝐛𝐞 𝐏𝐢𝐧𝐞𝐝𝐚, 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐍𝐢𝐤𝐤𝐚 𝐆𝐚𝐝𝐝𝐢, the convention reinforced the vital role of the youth in shaping a just, accountable, and progressive society.

The event was also attended by selected youth leaders from Valenzuela, including Ivern Cervantes of VYNEC, Nhicka, Shekinah, Alwyn and LYDO Valenzuela OIC, Ms. Bernice Brisenio.

KabCon 2026 left a clear call to action:

The 𝐋𝐨𝐜𝐚𝐥 𝐘𝐨𝐮𝐭𝐡 𝐃𝐞𝐯𝐞𝐥𝐨𝐩𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭 𝐎𝐟𝐟𝐢𝐜𝐞 (𝐋𝐘𝐃𝐎) 𝐕𝐚𝐥𝐞𝐧𝐳𝐮𝐞𝐥𝐚 successfully convened its quarterly meeting with accredited youth organizations across the city. The meeting served as a platform to share updates, strengthen coordination, and align plans and advocacies for youth development.

Discussions covered key updates, advocacy initiatives, coordination matters, and upcoming plans and programs of the LYDO.

Present at the event were our Chairperson Ivern Cervantes and Finance Manager Sai Obordo, alongside youth leaders committed to advancing youth participation and empowerment in Valenzuela.

🤝 Together, we continue building a stronger, more united youth sector.
