El Niรฑo is a climate phenomenon that can bring hotter and drier conditions to many parts of the Philippines. These changes can affect crops, fisheries, food supply, and livelihoods.

Understanding climate risks is the first step toward building resilient communities. By preparing early and supporting local livelihoods, we can better face the challenges of a changing climate. ๐Ÿ’š

Quezon City, 30 May 2026

START OF THE SOUTHWEST MONSOON

Ahead of the possible onset of the rainy season, the DOST-PAGASA officially announces the start of the Southwest Monsoon or Habagat over the Philippines, which is one of the precursors of the onset of the rainy season.
