GAWAD KALIGTASAN AT KALUSUGAN VALIDATION

TVI Resource Development Philippines Inc. – Balabag Gold and Silver Project (TVIRD-BGSP) successfully underwent the Gawad Kaligtasan at Kalusugan (GKK) Validation, highlighting its continuing commitment to workplace safety, occupational health, and employee welfare.

The validation assessed the implementation of safety and health programs, practices, and initiatives that promote a safe, healthy, and responsible working environment. The activity was successfully completed, with the validators providing positive feedback and recognizing the company’s efforts and practices in maintaining a strong safety and health culture.

The successful validation reflects TVIRD-BGSP’s continuous pursuit of excellence, continuous improvement, and responsible mining, ensuring that safety and health remain integral to every operation and that every employee is given a safe and healthy workplace.

ISO 9001:2015 & ISO 45001:2018 AWARENESS TRAINING

TVI Resource Development Philippines Inc. – Balabag Gold and Silver Project (TVIRD-BGSP) conducted ISO 9001:2015 Awareness and Documented Information Training and ISO 45001:2018 Training for Department Heads and Record Controllers.

The ISO 9001:2015 session was facilitated by Mr. Joven Tan Sabanal, focusing on the key principles of the Quality Management System, proper documentation, and effective control of documented information. A total of 43 participants attended the training.

Meanwhile, the ISO 45001:2018 Training gathered 42 participants, providing an overview of the Occupational Health and Safety Management System and its role in promoting safe, consistent, and effective workplace practices.

The activities strengthen employees’ understanding of international management system standards and support TVIRD-BGSP’s commitment to quality, occupational safety, continuous improvement, and operational excellence.

A Taste of the Farm at TVIRD-BGSP

A simple harvest brought smiles to employees of TVI Resource Development Philippines Inc. – Balabag Gold and Silver Project (TVIRD-BGSP) as they enjoyed picking fresh mulberries grown within the company’s developed area.

More than just a source of fresh fruit, the mulberry plants reflect TVIRD-BGSP’s efforts to make productive use of available spaces and promote greener surroundings within the project area. The activity also gives employees an opportunity to appreciate the fruits of sustainable land development.

Through initiatives that combine environmental care, productive spaces, and employee engagement, TVIRD-BGSP continues to demonstrate that responsible development can create areas that are both purposeful and enjoyable.

WORLD BAMBOO DAY.

TVI Resource Development Philippines Inc. – Balabag Gold and Silver Project (TVIRD-BGSP) joins the celebration of World Bamboo Day with the theme “Bamboo Beyond Borders” through a bamboo planting activity along the Genaro River Bank.

The activity highlights the importance of bamboo in helping protect riverbanks, support environmental sustainability, and promote greener communities. Through simple actions like planting, the celebration turns the message of “Bamboo Beyond Borders” into a meaningful contribution to nature and the community.

She oversees sustainability, regulatory compliance, environmental management, and ESG initiatives across TVIRD’s project portfolio.

A Licensed Environmental Planner and certified ISO Lead Auditor, she is a recognized leader in responsible mining, environmental stewardship, and sustainable community development. She was chosen as the sole Philippine mining industry representative to the Swedish Institute’s sustainability leadership program.

The Philippine Mining Club takes a different approach to its September luncheon, bringing together presentations, industry perspectives, and an extended conversation on one of mining’s most important responsibilities: managing the full life cycle of a mine.

The program will run in two sessions. The morning will feature three sponsored presentations, followed by a panel discussion. After lunch, the conversation continues with an open dialogue and Q&A focused on;

“Managing Mine Life Cycles: Best Practices in Progressive Rehabilitation, Post-Mining Transitions, and Responsible Closure Frameworks.”

Joining the discussion are experts from the Mines and Geosciences Bureau, FCF Minerals Corporation, and TVI Resource Development / Agatha Mining Ventures, Inc.

More than a luncheon, this is an opportunity to hear different viewpoints, raise questions, exchange practical insights, and take part in a meaningful discussion on responsible mine closure and post-mining transition.

The week at TVIRD-BGSP begins with employees coming together for the regular Flag Raising Ceremony, a meaningful moment to honor the Philippine flag and reflect on the values that guide the workplace.

Beyond the ceremony, the gathering strengthens a sense of unity, discipline, and shared purpose as everyone prepares for another productive week at the Balabag Gold and Silver Project.

INTEGRATED IEC CAMPAIGN IN BARANGAY DEPORE

TVI Resource Development Philippines Inc. – Balabag Gold and Silver Project (TVIRD-BGSP) conducted an Integrated Information, Education, and Communication (IEC) Campaign in Barangay Depore, Bayog, Zamboanga del Sur, strengthening communication and engagement with the host community.
The campaign provided residents with relevant information on the company’s programs, environmental initiatives, community development efforts, and responsible mining practices. It also served as an avenue for open dialogue and clarification of community concerns.
Through the Integrated IEC Campaign, TVIRD-BGSP continues to promote transparency, awareness, and meaningful community participation in support of sustainable development and responsible mining.

SABADO NIGHTS: RECOGNITION & MOVIE NIGHT

TVI Resource Development Philippines Inc. – Balabag Gold and Silver Project (TVIRD-BGSP) brings employees together through Sabado Nights, featuring the recognition of the department heads of TVIRD-BGSP for their leadership, dedication, and valuable contributions to the organization.

The evening also featured a relaxing Movie Night hosted by the Safety and Health Department, providing employees with an opportunity to unwind, bond, and enjoy quality time with colleagues after a busy week.

More than an evening of recognition and entertainment, Sabado Nights celebrates leadership, teamwork, camaraderie, and a strong workplace culture at TVIRD-BGSP.

1,500 SEEDLINGS FOR A GREENER ZAMBOANGA DEL SUR

TVI Resource Development Philippines Inc. – Balabag Gold and Silver Project (TVIRD-BGSP), through the Mine Environment Protection and Enhancement Office (MEPEO) Department, provided 1,500 seedlings to the Provincial Environment and Natural Resources Office (PENRO) and the Provincial Local Government Unit (PLGU) of Zamboanga del Sur to support the province’s environmental conservation and reforestation efforts.

The initiative demonstrates TVIRD-BGSP’s continued support for environmental programs that promote forest restoration, biodiversity conservation, and sustainable natural resource management. The donated seedlings will contribute to greening and rehabilitation activities aimed at enhancing the province’s environmental landscape.
