NEWS| Campus Journalists (CJs) from the 13 districts of Zambales gathered at Castillejos National High School for a 3-day Division Schools Press Conference (DSPC) last January 15-17, 2025.

Smart Achievers Academy- Subic, Inc. (SAASI) was one of the participating schools from the District of Subic in the said event. This year’s DSPC qualifiers are Jazzmine Dhanielle E. Radaza for Editorial Cartooning English (Secondary), Lexy Claire E. Viloria for News Writing English (Secondary), Markus Augustine L. Tumulak for Photojournalism English (Secondary), Athena B. Narvasa for Sports Writing English (Secondary), and Shanaia Venice G. Cubilla for Copyreading, Headline Writing, and Proofreading English (Secondary).

The top 10 CJs in each category was awarded earlier, January 17, at Castillejos National High School, with Jazzmine Dhanielle E. Radaza placing 6th in the Editorial Cartooning English (Secondary) category.

Only the top 3 winners in each individual category will qualify for the Regional Schools Press Conference (RSPC) on February25-27 at Balanga, Bataan.

"THE GUARDANT ON THE MOVE"

Fulfilling its dream to be seen, known and heard by many, SAASI's Campus Journalists competed in the District and Division Schools Press Conference this year.

In the District, the Radio Broadcasting and Script Writing Team competed at Josephine F. Khonghun Special Education Center last April 26, 2023 with their coach Mr. Edward Anthony Valde. They ended their journey as THIRD PLACE and won the BEST SCRIPT.

In the Division level, SAASI CJs competed in individual categories held at Botolan National High School last May 5, 2023. Together with the journalists are their coaches, Ms. Melody Aivi Fabunan and Mr. Phillip Justin Samonte.
