Murdock K9

I originally created this page just as a distraction.

I had been training Murdock for years as a hobby, but because of my previous job, I couldn’t really post dog stuff on my personal account. So I decided to make a page where I could post our training, our adventures, and basically just keep memories of me and my dog.

Then COVID happened.

During lockdown, I was dealing with a lot and honestly got pretty depressed. This page became my distraction. I would post training videos, old videos of Murdock, and whatever we were doing just to get my mind off everything else.

Then Murdock got lost.

That changed everything.

I used this page to help find him. I boosted posts, shared more videos of us, and showed people how much I cared about this dog, hoping that somehow it would reach the right person.

And it worked. Murdock eventually came back home.

People started knowing him as the “Lost and Found Malinois.” More people started following him, watching his videos and seeing what he could do.

The funny thing is, Murdock had already been trained long before the pandemic. I just never really realized how good he actually was because, to me, it was just a hobby. But when people started noticing him, praising his work, and asking me about his training, it made me curious too.

I started wanting to learn more.

Then friends and family started asking me to help with their dogs. Those turned into referrals. Then eventually, someone offered me a job as a dog trainer.

And well, the rest is history.

A page I created just to have somewhere to post about my dog ended up becoming the start of my career, my business, and honestly one of the biggest parts of my life.

And now, Murdock is gone.

Looking back, I realize how much of my life started because of this dog. He didn’t just become part of my journey. In a way, he started it.

So thank you to everyone who followed him, supported us, watched our videos, shared his story, helped look for him when he was lost, and became part of our journey along the way.

But most of all, thank you Murdock.

I wouldn’t have found this passion if it wasn’t for you. I wouldn’t be where I am now, and I probably wouldn’t even be a dog trainer if it wasn’t for that crazy dog I decided to train as a hobby.

You gave me a rea*on to start, a rea*on to keep going, and a career I never really planned on having.

I love you, boy.
