Rooted in the heart of Angeles City, Pampanga, Mang Tony’s Chicharon Factory began as a local producer dedicated to delivering the authentic crunch and flavor of Filipino chicharon. Through hard work, passion, and commitment to quality, the business steadily gained the trust of customers and evolved from a traditional snack maker into a growing food manufacturing enterprise.

A significant turning point in its journey came through the support of the Department of Trade and Industry (DTI), particularly through the Kapatid Mentor ME (KMME) Program. By participating in the program, the business gained valuable mentorship and practical knowledge on improving operations, strengthening financial management, and refining its Business Improvement Plan. These learnings helped the enterprise embrace a more strategic and growth-oriented approach to business.

With DTI’s continued guidance on branding, product development, and market readiness, Mang Tony’s Chicharon Factory enhanced its packaging and strengthened compliance with industry standards, making its products more competitive in both local and wider markets. The opportunity to connect with fellow entrepreneurs and industry experts also inspired the business to transition from a traditional setup into a more modern and investor-ready enterprise.

Bienvenido Tinape Fernandino

Bienvenido Tinape Fernandino began during the height of the pandemic, initially offering freshly made bicho-bicho, a beloved Filipino-style donut. What started as a small online venture, fueled by word-of-mouth referrals, quickly gained traction among customers seeking affordable and comforting merienda options.

Within just six months, the business successfully transitioned from home-based operations to establishing a physical store in Barangay Dolores, City of San Fernando, Pampanga. As demand steadily increased, the enterprise expanded its product line to include other well-loved snacks such as empanadas, staying true to its mission of providing quality food that customers can easily enjoy and share with their families.

Today, Bienvenido Tinape Fernandino continues to serve soft, delicious, and budget-friendly merienda to a growing customer base. Marking a significant milestone, the business has also opened its second branch—its first franchised outlet—demonstrating its readiness for expansion and replication.

With the support of the Department of Trade and Industry (DTI), the business has further strengthened its operations, particularly in the areas of marketing and financial management, enabling it to sustain growth and enhance its competitiveness in the local market.
