GJC - High School Library

The Pre-Elementary Department of General de Jesus College successfully conducted a Textbook Evaluation on May 5, 2026, at the UBEd Library as part of its preparation for the upcoming School Year 2026–2027.
Our dedicated Preschool faculty, Lea V. Nicha, Maricel P. Vicencio, Agnes F. Trinidad, and Nanette L. Santiago actively participated in reviewing and selecting age-appropriate and engaging learning materials that will best support the growth and development of our young learners.
The activity was guided by our Senior Library Staff, Mrs. Gavina A. Franco, ensuring a systematic evaluation process.
Through this initiative, the department shows its commitment to providing quality, meaningful, and age-appropriate resources that help nurture curiosity, creativity, and a love for learning among our preschoolers.

Today, May 5, 2026, the Filipino Department of the Unified Basic Education Department of General de Jesus College conducted a book evaluation at the UBEd Library in preparation for the upcoming school year.
Led by Department Head Ms. Melissa V. Franco, the activity was carried out in collaboration with Filipino subject teachers Mr. Mark Anthony T. Principe, Mr. Adrian R. Amboy, Ms. Alisa P. Alarilla, and Mr. Lemar D. Tagarino. The team was also assisted by Senior Library Staff, Mrs. Gavina A. Franco.
This initiative reflects our commitment to providing quality, relevant, and learner-centered resources for our students. 📖✨

After the holidays, it’s time to welcome back learning, laughter, and new goals!

Today, the Unified Basic Education Library proudly participated in the “GJC READY: Earthquake Preparedness” program, a vital initiative aimed at equipping our students with the knowledge and confidence to stay safe during earthquakes.
Through engaging drills, orientations, and safety practices, our learners explored essential protocols such as “Duck, Cover, and Hold,” identified evacuation routes and safe assembly areas, and deepened their understanding of how to respond calmly and responsibly in times of emergency.

Preparedness saves lives. By learning safety tips, emergency hotlines, and evacuation procedures, we empower our students to protect themselves and others. Schools play a crucial role in building a culture of alertness, teamwork, and resilience.

GJC Library Club Shines at "Verde Eleganza: Fashioning the Future"!

Yesterday, October 14, the GJC Library Club proudly joined the “Verde Eleganza: Fashioning the Future” fashion show, a creative event organized by the GJC Science Club that highlights sustainability and innovation through eco-friendly fashion.

Representing our club was Jaynica A. Eduardo from Grade 8 - Kamagong, who showcased a stunning bag made from recycled plastic materials including a plastic gallon/container and repurposed eco bags from grocery stores.

Her creativity and dedication to environmental advocacy truly stood out, earning her the Earth Advocate Award! Congratulations, Jaynica! Your work reminds us that fashion can be both beautiful and sustainable.
