To all disciples out there, let me tell you this unfiltered truth that almost all pastors and leaders are hiding from you — most of them are just good ‘pretenders’. 🥹

Pretending they are okay because they need to be strong leaders and pastors for the flock entrusted by God.

Pretending they don’t need any encouragement because they must be the encouragers to others.

Pretending they are not broken and exhausted so you, as a disciple, can always see joy and wholeness in serving Christ.

But behind all the pretending are hearts that are fully dependent on God’s Word and presence.

✨ They carry battles you never see…
✨ They smile even when their hearts are breaking…
✨ They stand strong even when their knees are shaking…

Sa dami nilang pinagdaanan, nandiyan pa rin si leader at si pastor — not because they are strong or brave, but because the Lord is the One who sustains them… the One who helps them, so they can help you.

That’s why, always appreciate when your leader and pastor specially when they show up. Because their consistency is not a sign of perfection — it’s a sign of obedience and God’s grace at work in their lives.

So be grateful.
Pray for them.
Support them.

Minsan, kahit simpleng “leader, thank you” can already lift a tired heart — and I believe, that’s the beauty why Jesus first set Himself an example to bond with His disciples before and after crucifixion. Let that sink in 🙂 Shalom!
